@Smin1080p_WT do you know if there are plans to enhance the other (Night) Fighter/Fighter-Bomber Mosquito models with the more detailed canopy that is present on the J30?
I’m aware that the developers make occasional model improvments to legacy aircraft, and wondered if this could be the case with Mosquito.
I was impressed when the squadron Mosquito B.XVI was added that it had a nice detailed version of the proper bomber canopy with correct external frames and internal struts. But it seems a bit unfortunate now that while a very accurate one was in development for the upcoming Mk.XIX (J30), multiple fighter Mosquitos (Mk.s (N)F.II, FB.VI, and TR.33) were added in the update shortly before that, without an improved canopy.
Can see that the J30 canopy is overall the same type with a flat front windshield, but rather than everything being modelled as external frames (and perhaps as a result, having rather flat and faceted windows) J30 has correct internal struts, and proper curvature for the perspex window panes. The old fighter canopy looks very outdated for a game model in 2026.
Some late versions like the TR.33 and post-war RNoAF Mosquito Mk.VI (ASH) would also be more accurate with the “blown” canopy on the navigator/radar operator’s side that is present on J30. It was a late-war modification for many Mosquito fighters, and is present in photos of the two mentioned post-war Mosquitoes.
@Smin1080p_WT how high is the chance for the Leopard 2A4 to finally get DM33?
because the new T-72B3 Arena is another example of having am 580mm dart with just 0.3 higher compared to the 408mm pen on the DM23
T-72B3 Arena: 11.0 and has 3BM60 (580mm)
Leopard 2A4: 10.7 and has DM23 (408mm)
The US basically built them as more armoured gunships that could be more survivable than the UH-1’s during the Vietnam war. They were never meant to replace the UH-1’s though just complement them and use them for missions where the risk was higher.
Would be nice atleast if they give the JAS39E the Meteor… because atm it’s very not good for BVR.
And IMO we should get new missiles this update considering we have these 4.5 gen jets but old missiles.
That’s right. After all, BVVD in Q`A answered that SEAD ammunition will be added in the first quarter of 2026 (which is March), and as stated in the recent leak, we will also see more advanced SAM systems (such as the S-300 and Patriot), and most likely, we will see the 9th rank of aviation, which will likely include new aircraft. In general, based on what we have, the next update is quite interesting.
Yea but the AIM 120C isn’t fit for the Gripen E. It lacks the speed it needs for BVR. The Meteor would fix that. Plus we need atleast the 9X this update
my wish and the best option is to add bigger maps, 250x250km with the current missile.
we can do better better bvr with the current missiles that we have, reminder that we still launch them at 6km while we can do better at 12km altitude.
bigger maps = better bvr gameplay = no sweaty chaff gameplay = more plane can do bvr such as mig29 = better targets to destroy = chance of adding moder ships mixed mode = adding anti ships missile = carrier being used = chance to add refuel tankers = chance to add data link btw players.
one step can give you a whole new gameplay, but wont do it lmao
However both of the would still be pointless since they can easily be defeated by multipathing just like current ARH SAMS. Hopefully they would make multipath realistic
Then use RB-99 which if i am not mistaken is just an AIM-120B.
I agree with you but a lot of people don’t like larger maps. Maybe with aerial warfare mode they talked about will give us very large maps. Hopefully it would be a different game mode so that players who want smaller maps can still play air RB.
