unless japan got catapult carrier, i don’t think they will buy F-35C

It’s not even happening in reality. Iirc the real consideration isn’t for 42 J-10C, but for 12 used J-10B.
It’s also not paid yet, which for Indonesia means there’s a good chance it just never happens like that Mirage 2000 purchase from Quatar or the F-15IDN.
