Leopard 2A7DK is based on the Leopard 2A5DK.
The Leopard 2A5DK has an Israeli-made search light next to the gunner’s FERO Z18 auxiliary sight, an air-conditioning system, new storage boxes for the larger crew armament (i.e. Danish soldiers use M16 clones that do not fit into the holders for the MP2/MP7) and an APU.
It also features add-on on the hull front and the commander’s PERI R17A2 sight.
Compared to the German Leopard 2A7V, the Danish Leopard 2A7DK lacks the new SPECTUS night vision sight for the driver.
Sorta, would have different mine armor around the sides since they were made for use in the middle east iirc
The 2A7DK wasn’t a 2A7 built its basically a glorified 2A5 kit on a 2A4 for some of them

That was the middle variant, afaicr.
Few 2A5DKs were supposed to be upgraded to full fat 2A7DK with L/55s.
And the rest 2A5DKs were supposed to get partial upgrades i.e no L/55 or some exotic stuffs but some upgrades from the full 2A7 package hence resulting in the L/44 hybrid “2A7DK” you posted
but later I think it was decided all 2A5DK would be upgraded to full 2A7DK.

It doesn’t really matter they all started as 2A4’s they weren’t 2A7s originally they were upgraded substantially to bring them more closely in line with the 2A7.
Imo a fairly unique vehicle which when all nations have a few solid 12.7 tanks and sweden needs a new MBT it would be nice but for now im juat hoping gaijin announces Danish ground and air to fill gaps on swedens lower BR’s
many Ukrainian donated 2A6s were at point also 2A4s and 2A5s ~ as what was found out after closer inspections and observing the under armor damages

So this vehicle can be labeled as “should have been TT, but instead locked behind event”? Surprised to not see more people complaining about that. As much as it sucks for unique vehicles to be locked behind events, if something is gonna take up several hours each day for a couple weeks, it sure as hell better be worth it. Especially since we have to wait a couple more months to start receiving actually new vehicles.
