It used to be even worse. So many times the intercepted missile would still somehow take out your track, transmission, engine or multiple of those in the past.
idk how they managed to make it so it can only intercept ATGMs from the front on the CRV but it doesnt surprise me at this point lol
That is also with how they have modelled tandem charges iirc. Could also be due to the explosive charge of the ATGMs and how far away from the vehicle they were intercepted
There Is no source, he just made It up
For the sake of balance and prevent controversy, i expect gaijin to give similar ecm oerformance via pod. However overall performance may vary by the number of pods, ECM arrays and the array quality
will the type and/or vehicles be known in the next BP?
later this week probs
Should be getting the blogs for the next BP towards the end of this week since the BP ends next Wednesday.
Doubt it
With current state of BP gaijin usually post devblog about main reward a day or two before the start of the new season
So…I guess Monday for the first BP news
Yeah and I also wonder whether vehicles known to have integrated ECMs will have those, since not sacrificing missiles and drag with ECM is quite nice.
Prediction for ecm: ECM performance will depend on
- If it has 360 coverage
For example F-35 doesn’t have 360 coverage, no egress capability while some other aircraft do

- If it has AESA jamming or not
Lord Gaijin, please let me spoof the enemy 2000lb JDAM ER into their spawn…
I wonder who gets the kill/teamkill if a jammed/spoofed GNSS guided bomb lands on an unintended target.
“some other aircraft” = Every Eurocanard
generally ECM is such a Comlex topic that tbh we really can come up with as many thoughts as we like, in the end we must expect a Simplified addition and that Meta will be very dependant on how exactly Gaijin does that
it’s the same as Multipathing and Seeker types for S/ARH missiles
gonna be honest there is no way they make ECM accurate for the simple fact warthunder just isnt large enough scale for it (for example a single growler could jam every radar on an enemy team in GRB because of how small the maps are compared to IRL)
J10ce has been spoted flying in a test in china. might be a new customer as pakistan has not order new batch

wonder who ordered them ?
Either Pakistan or Indonesia
There are a few other things that would need to be considered for ECM.
For example, the claim that a growler can jam the entire map in game. While I do expect this to be true to a certain extent, one of the main advantage that AESA has other say PESA, is that they are usually claim to have much better jamming protection, while PESA are already better than mechanical. But to which degree ? Would a growler jam them at 100km ? 50km ?
I think one of the least « bad » way to implement ECM would be to use the power of the emitters for an absolute max range, add a bonus depending if the antennas are mech, PESA or AESA. As for the jammed systems, do the same. Mechanical radars are more easily spoofed, while PESA and AESA are less likely to be jammed.
As for the range at which a system is jammed, the effect of jamming would decrease as range increases to approximately the square of the range till the max range where the effects would disappear.
What happened to aircraft not being able to fire after taking critical damage?
Every single time I kill someone, I have to double check that they are actually dead and not just a burn wreck tumbling from the sky because otherwise I will get a missile shot at me from said wreck. Its really annoying. I thought they added a mechanic last major update to disable this?
Ngl I absolutely despised that mechanic and I’m glad that they disabled it
why?
