Oh, it was 2-3.5 and not 2.5-3, my bad.
So yeah it could be closer to AIM-120D or AIM-260 depending on how they do it then

Keep in mind though these r just requirements from 2006 for the izd-180/r-77m program. Who knows if the actual finished product actually met the requirements.
R-37 only gets that range on the Mig-31 that is already flying at mach jesus
and at the speeds we are dealing with in WT especially at mid altitudes ~5km, i wouldnt expect much more than 200km
Have AIM-260s even been testfired yet?
Fair
Yes they have
What platform?
if i had to guess i would say f-15
F-18/F-35C for sure
su57 can also match mig31 speed until mach 2.3, only downside is missing stealth
not F-18 since the Aim-260 was an air force project
the Aim-174 was a navy project, hence why it was only seen on the Hornet
So itβs not even clear what planes would carry it?
we dont even know what it look like.
VX-31 did testing for the AIM-260. Both branches are heavily involved in the program
I mean I would expect aim 260 to come to all amraam carriers
I mean, Iβve seen renderings
We do,

This is from a USAF presentation and was confirmed to be accurate iirc
circumcised AMRAAM

not the first or last time america will claim a british/canadian vehicle to actually be american
Any modern US jet that carries AIM-120βs. One of the requirements was to have the same form factor as an AIM-120 to be carried in stealth jets
