The US doesn’t need Turkiye. Since the US still has plenty of Domestic planes, tanks, boats and helicopters options left across all br’s.
Italy on the other hand - Hungary has been left for dead, same can be said about Romania. Perhaps it was planned this way for the addition of Turkiye.
Not only that, Italy and Turkiye have a very strong Defense and Strategic allience, since both are key players in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
Also deepening collaboration in defense, including partnerships between Baykar (Turkey) and Leonardo (Italy) on drones, and discussions on Eurofighter jets.
