The thing is, I don’t see any reason not to go for a F-15I with an AN/APG-82(V)1 radar at this point.
Historical accuracy clearly has become a very minor factor when it comes to new additions and variant hybrids aren’t anything new either, so just slapping the AN/APG-82(V)1 on an F-15I would be a quick and easy solution that wouldn’t require a subtree.
Not entirely the JA37D was the swedish service Viggen with aim 120. In game its artificially limited to give them a 12.0 vehicle. The JA37Di was the export model i standing for international but Gaijin was too lazy to change the cockpit to english.
The F21 is just a sqaudron specific camo for a JA37D just called a Di as again Di was for export.
F21 isn’t something crazy its just another way to add a copy but with its model made to represent a specific squadron like if we got a premium F-35 WDNS we could get one with the 6-1 dynamite camo
Yes iirc its just a change of cockpit to bring it to a international level from renaming all the swedish instruments to english for ease of use as most vehicles use english for export. Even the Swedish service Gripen C’s use english
Yeah, but you can load additionally four 1000 lb bombs (or 2x 1000 lb + 2x 2000 lb) or twelve Brimstones on the Typhoon without sacrificing AA weapon load.
Why does the US tree even need the F-15EX if they already got one AESA radar plane with the F-15C GE the last update? Does the F-15EX have a MAW to set it apart except its ground armament?
