is there any chance that in the CM or Q&A we will see more information on plans for nations not present in-game yet? (e.g, sub tree,tech tree)

Not inherently, there are MANY versions of the NG (which makes it a perfect stop gap as the DEV’s can just smörgåsbord one together that fits the BR they want it at), basically every upgrade from C to E in different steps and combinations. The NG was the testbed/prototype for choosing what would eventually go on the E.

We actually had that wrong NG was a D model. But the Gripen E prototypes were what we were looking at, some had been called NG on their plaques but they weren’t NG’s

I’m hoping they add the NG as a “middle step” before adding the E in the future, if they add the E now there are so many things that makes the E what it is that it wouldn’t have in the game as the mechanics don’t exist in the game yet. The alternative is to add a limping version of the E now and then later on give it the things it should have had at the start, move it up in BR and then add the NG as a middle step. I would personally like it better if they then add the NG first and the E (with it’s bells and whistles) later.

there are not many things it wouldnt have? only EW. Realisticly next update is gonna be a huge air update like every year prior, so i expect new top tier missiles and new eurofighter/gripen e/super hornet/j10c/su35. Anything less would be knid of disappointing considering the last 5 years have been massive air updates.

I doubt they are planing to add meteor and IRIS-T to the game anytime soon, i could be wrong though. The EW is one (both offensive and defensive mechanics), datalink (though that’s true for a lot of top tier planes) is another. I’m not sure if other planes also have this ability but the datalink also works for the EW and not only threat sharing. Sensor fusion. Active countermeasures/decoys (parachute dropped radar emitter to make ARH missiles go for that instead of the plane). Terrain mapping. etc. There are likely more things i’ve forgotten :p
