so its max range is around 200km not 250-300km like the other guy claimed. i highly doubt it can reach further than 250km.
is it normal that yt trailers says 90 or does it have to be 91?
I’m aware those sources aren’t primary as I said. Just that most articles, which is about the best info we’ll get aside from stealing documents from china, state that the range is in “excess of 200km” and the maxium range is being guessed at being in between 200-300km. Some sources even say the range is in excess of 300km, but i’m skeptical of that tbh. R77m is so new that I’m honestly not sure what the maxiumum range is. I know it has a much newer and superior seeker to r77-1 and comparable range to aim120d, but thats about it afaik.

its heavier than aim120d , dual pulse , bigger dimensions (grid fins are removed) , kinematically it out performs aim120d in pretty much every way.

If it really does have dual pulse then it is PL-15 class instead of AIM-120D yeah. Dual pulse is essentially the “next big thing” with missiles alongside ramjets. The sheer kinematic advantage any dual pulse missile has at long range just completely outclasses the AIM-120D3
