But this is assuming PL-15 will be some 300km monster missile when it could be either:
- A easy to dodge missile like AIM-54 Phoenix
- A slight step-up from the PL-12 like the AIM-120C was to the AIM-120A.

Which puts it in between aim120d and pl-15. Last i heard PL15 can hit targets in excess of 250km.

I honestly just expect them to gimp the PL-15 too. But if they gimp that missile they’ll likely gimp the others as well, which means we still need something comparable imo.

I don’t think they gimp missiles kinetic performances, if they truly believe its crap, they’ll model it as crap. They do purposefully ignore reports FIXING their kinetic performances in order to suit the battle-ratings but otherwise do not purposely gimp it. So the idea that if the PL-15 comes into the game subpar in performance compared to what people would expect doesn’t also means that other missiles would come into the performing poorly.
Don’t have one because it’s Chinese. Good luck getting a source for anything chinese. Pretty much every source just says “Exceeds 200km.” Word on the street is Pl-15 is a 250km-300km max range missile.
