Was looking for a next gen AAM that japan could get since the F15J(m) and F2a dont really have any longer range options afaik. If the Thai gripen could use meteor it would at least solve that issue.

AAM5 is a new one they can get and 4B too iirc
Thai Gripen C is a MS20 model, only non MS20 user of the gripen C is ZA. So yes it should be able to as MS20 and MS21 both are able to use Meteor IF SAAB engineers come down and modify the pylon for them to run.

Eh, If the plane is technically compatible it shouldn’t matter i think. For instance the mig29 get r27er because it was technically compatible not because it ever carried the missile.
