I think i may have a comprimise.
Nation of producer just gets an [X vehicle] “export” variant where it just has the best bells and whistles implemented into the vehicle in a total but realistic package. The vehicle will possibly be fiction but realistic in depiction of a run of the mill vehicle series model
think a british hawk 200 series but we get the promised gun from the devblog (that personally stings as the reasoning for no gunpod are codswallop) or a leo 2 with the improved armour of exported models, or a fighter jet with the additional hardpoints added for an export order like the spec we see the rafale as in game as that is just an IAF rafale.
foreign nation no longer gatekeeps a better version of a native vehicle from its tree while being a dream example of peoples beloved vehicle, but also not snatching said vehicle from a fair position in another tree

This literally wouldn’t work.
Example so just Because Soviet T55’s dont have better APFSDS or the smokes like the Finnish one should they all get that? Then what happens to unique vehicles in general. Should the US F-16C get all the upgrades that the F16AM on France does without any of the downsides and while at the same BR? This is just a huge bomb that doesn’t work.

it would be better to just pick some random export user or even prototype/testing export jet to prevent this. like a Bahrain F-16V for example.
Eh, im against it. Then we can have upgrades without debuffs. Thats a dumb idea. It should be that specific vehicle. We dont need more gripen C’s like the SAAF model getting things that they cant use.
Again SAAF gripen is MS19 not 20 it shouldn’t have GBU-39, if the equipment was compatible sure but its not. Regardless id much rather continue the current way the snail already has things going

thats what i said. just add the actual vehicle. im sure there was a pre-production or testing F-16AM at some point. if not they can just pick one from somewhere like Jordan.
or if they can prove it (like PIDS+ on the F-16C) then just add it to the vehicle
Only thing is leave that to events rather than TT, stuff. No reason to overtreat nations that already get all of gaijins attention nor over fill them. Especially given we dont need vehicles getting locked into a nation before their subnation arrives.
events, premiums, sqv, all are fine for stuff like this imo. theres precedent for this already
So again the whole suggestion he put forth is a terrible idea and its better to leave the system as is.

well they could pay more attention to bug reports for things like loadout options locked out of one variant of an aircraft in one tree but not a different one when its known to be possible, but thats a larger issue

This thing will have a maximum BR 11.7 or less. The only thing that would pose a danger to me if it’s 12.7 would be a MiG-29 with an R27ER, but anyway, good luck climbing to 12-14 km altitude and trying to catch me above Mach 2.
