I’m pretty sure the Taurus doesn’t have IIR, just a regular IR seeker. The image based navigation is a seperate system.

wonder if they are gonna model the german EFT with CAPTOR-E MK0 and the italian and british with MK2 or if its gonna be purely in name
Irl maybe, not super knowledgable on missiles irl.
However in game the J-10C also isn’t a fair counterpart to the AESA EFT, so that is why I wouldn’t be suprised to see Gaijin use the PL15 to close the gap between these jets.
Just heavily nerfed.

it really depends on how “nerfed” it is, AIM120Cs atm are worse then As so if its a bit better then an A it will probably be fine if not then who knows

It is a good question.
Could be Germany gets Mk1 and everyone else Mk2 but the Mk2 is modeled to be C&P of the Mk1
The issue is proving that Germany has used the Mk.0
While there are 3 Options for Radars germany could get, only 2 are save that beeing CAESAR and Mk.1

Mk0 is what Kuwait and Qatar use.
Mk1 is Germany and Spain
Mk2 is Britain (and maybe italy) also Germany is Planning Mk2 for their EKs (dedicated SEAD/EW Typhoons)
There is some evidence that Germany has some Mk0s as a stopgap but not enough sources to prove it.
In-game, the only difference that will probably be modeled is that the Mk1 is limited to +/- 90 degrees whilst Mk0 and Mk2 can do 100
could be, we could also just get CEASER, but any ESA on the Typhoon is better than a M-scan they refuse to finish

With the recent new top tier AA missiles I wouldn’t be suprised if they just give it half it’s IRL range or something and call it a day. Make it a long range missile with meh manouvrability.
The problem they have is that a J-10C with PL12s only will have nothing at all over the AESA EFT and Rafale, so in that situation they can’t justify it being 14.3.
And seeing the sway and spending power that the chinese playerbase seems to have, I see why Gaijin doesn’t want the J-10C to end up being DOA. Imagine another chinese player uprising.
It really depends on the maneuverability of the PL-15
