however, that F-15 shown above is a C model, but the SIM missiles should be the same weight and drag as a fully functional AIM-120s, although the drag would be immense, its the same rail adaptors that are slated to be used on the EX as well, and i see no reason why the conformal fuel tank mountings be different between models to keep production simple
Oh!!! They added the Spanish Eurofighter skin for the German one!?
NICE! That’s the ONE EF I have, hahahahah.
OOOOOOOOH!!!
October 12th celebration, at last!!!
Just a tad shame they went with the completely standard Spanish skin instead of one of their quite interesting display team skins
I would be happy enough with the Leopard 2Es, hahahah.
That way Germany would also get some up-armored Leopards to finally rival Sweden.
They basically did 2x display, 2x service. I like either, so yay!
It’s not that bad yeah, just makes more sense behind the C than the E. I wouldn’t be like, upset if they put it after the E though.
Mockup iirc, never functionally used last I checked, EX based variants have only been seen with 12 AAMs at max. But I see Mr eagle man @GeneralLee2000 is typing away it seems so I’m sure he has the answer lol
The F-15EX as of now can only use 12. It wasn’t even mocked up with more yeah
But can it actually fire any of those?
The amber rack is designed to allow it, if it was actually integrated though I have no idea, I doubt it. Boeing proposed it as an upgrade so it’s feasible
That is NOT a C
Dude, look at the cockpit…
That’s a single seater, and this is the eagle man, THE eagle man
The one in Morvran’s post is not, unless he’s referring to the C with AMBER racks
Oh you mean the spoilered image? Yeah that’s not a C lol
That was the F-15SA (I think) I took an image of at RIAT last year. But its a good image of the 12x AMRAAM config
Yup, that’s the actual EX config. It’s part of the Advanced Eagle family
