Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

Hey. This has been the case for some 2 years in some reports. If the outcome leads to no significant or noticeable performance changes, then it is not considered a bug if within the margin at teh developers discretion. Reports that are currently open will be under investigation on a case per case basis until the devs decide on each one.

Otherwise this leads to hundreds of possible reports for what could be (and has been) as little as 5hp.

Those are the dummy SkyFlashes, note the flat rears and the blue circles on the wings as seen on drill skyflashes.
And anyway the AOA-tube would go right trough the radar dish.
(It’s also the later ZH200 config with the guns removed)

KSS-001 is the non flying mock up I was talking about earlier (note the air intakes and mockup cockpit)

Later KSS-001 with the IR nose

If you’ll look just behind the wing of the near side A.Skyflash you’ll see the mounting post for the static display, probably from some airshow but I haven’t been able to figure out which.

I’d rather that be a trend that doesn’t continue, plus in the Yak-141’s case it’s in a speculative “service” configuration, as the Hawk 200 does have service models (that lack the guns) I doubt it’ll get the benefit of the doubt like the Yak-141 got.

the Alpha Jet TH are minor refurbishments of ex-Luftwaffe Alphajets that used the gun-pods in Luftwaffe service, at least that’s Gaijin’s excuse for it. So somewhat different.

Aye, but the ADEN 30 kinda sucks lmao, much prefer the Aden 25mm guns :/

Like don’t take this as me wanting the UK nerfed or something, I’m excited for the Hawk 200 and I want it modelled accurately as possible.

The radar variants of Hawk 200 didn’t have internal guns. There were 3 distinct options for customers to choose. Internal guns + no radar. The mocked up “Night Attack” module + internal guns, or the radar module that removed internal guns.

Still does not barrier the implementation of both options, considering the F-104S

Sadly yes it does on a single aircraft. These are two different variants and you cant have the radar + guns. They were different variants for different purposes and customers.

Which is up to the devs to offer both options in a single game aircraft. You should be able to either use a radar or use a gun, if this aircraft comes to the game. Please don’t block one or the other option

Just like the F-104S.

will look foward to all of this

Prototype Hawk 200 had internal guns and radar

I think they’re talking about having a module or something in the modification panel or weapons panel that adds the radar and removes the gun or adds guns and removed the radar
Effectively letting the player pick the version

ZH200 (Internal guns) had no radar sadly. The radar came on the later Hawk 200 RDA (Radar Development Aircraft) JZ201. Which had no internal cannons.

That NOT the radar nose cone, the AOA(?) sensor tube blocks the installation of the radar

The radar nose cone ends in a point, not the blunted end of the development nose cone

smin where is the infantry mode? was it just april fools

still so sad gaijin hasnt learned and we arent getting an Ajax at the same time

The provisions were still there for it, I understand it was not on the very first prototype however it was advertised with the ability to carry both, just the production version dropped the guns in favour of the Wingtip pylons

There isn’t any evidence so far for this other than drawings. None of the production Hawk 200s have internal cannons + radar, and the Hawk that did have internal cannons never had a radar, nor is there any evidence to suggest ZH200 was going to be fitted with one based on all available current information. The lack of guns + wingtip pylons was one of the key differences between ZH200 and ZJ201 (RDA).

The early plans were outlying several proposals for the development, but some just didn’t happen.

ZH200 even had the guns removed and ports patched over later in life

(Those are inert skyflashes)
