yeah thats why I was confused lol
question does the Chieftain 900 have composite armour like the mk10? or is it just steel because the devblog says the gun has APFSDS so I would assume L23 making it in the 9.7 to 10.0 range
Very nice addition, but it having no composite when that is the entire point of the tank kind of sucks
In the history section of the blog as well as the main text it says it will have no composite armor, it has metal-cladding over the original Chieftain Mk 5 armor instead, which will be very thin.

The MSC never had any composite armour in real life, yet they has it modelled ingame as it was planned.
It seems a bit strange that Gaijin has chosen not to give the Chieftain 900 the same treatment?

Edit: Not the best choice by the way. Mk 11 with thermals would be better

I actually quite like this new chieftain I think, the new geometry, despite it not offering much in the way of protection, is still interesting to look at! That and the uprated engine and LRF are nice additions
