I mean if u treat it like a light tank sure, but realistically it should be able to fend off more than 50 cals.

Even if it had better armor it wouldn’t really change anything for it in top-tier, auto cannons missiles and tank cannons will chew through it even if it had 50mm more LFP protection.
I dont think ive ever been killed by a .50 once in my 800+ games in it

They should; China’s a great tech tree, and has been the easiest tech tree I’ve played since Japan’s completion as my first completed tech tree.
USA, Britain, and Sweden came close for ease of play and grind.
China top end MBTs I get the mobility of NATO tanks with good enough armor areas firing competitive rounds.
In-fact, while I’m playing 11.3 in China, NATO equivalents are at 11.7 [except USA cause something related to skill probably].
To get to the point of why I’m posting in Rumor Roundup:
I don’t expect power-creep in China next major update because said power-creep would have to apply to all tech trees for fairness, not just China.
China is currently rather healthy in ground, and I don’t even think they have powercreep for ground to spare; though I am unaware of prototypes they could have.
I can see its going to be one of those days in this topic

I mean it can take 50 cals, but realistically blocking heat rounds on the turret and auto cannons on its hull should be expected to at least some extent, even if it’s limited area, a 35 tonne tank doesn’t really qualify for 30mm armour. Also the mention of ability to stop 100mm KE rounds, even if it is limited to specific areas of turret, is still significantly better than the current situation where 30mm rounds can go through. If it has a bit more armour it makes it infinitely better in a down tier, since autocannons aren’t as threatening and meanwhile HEAT rounds would do a lot less especially the poor people stock grinding non top top tier tanks.
