Gaijin should take care of uniqueness, as the game becomes boring after repeated playthroughs of each individual modification of Magach, T-72, Leopard, F-16, etc.
Player retention is in the direct interest of Gaijin
Again the things you’ve listed stuff that are part of the nation’s export market.
T-72 main export tank of the USSR.
Leo main export tank of Germany
F-16 one of the main export fighter of the US
And the Magach reason is due to Israel constant state of war, it’s easier for them to upgrade existing tech than buying form other markets.
It’s more cheaper to buy from major exports than it is to create home grown stuff and when nations do create their own stuff the US has a hissy fit

War Thunder is a business, so, again, Gaijin is interested in retaining players.
You can always argue about whether this or that country has this or that vehicle, but don’t you see the obvious business-related decisions of Gaijin? Controversies and lack of diversity are purely a matter of business, not factual data from reality.

Still. Sub trees are fine for multiple reasons. Sure everyone wishes all sub trees would be South Africa sub tree level of diverse and unique, but unfortunately they aren’t and we just have to deal with that.
