Dechirped Aim-9Ls and later Aim-9M should already have a lock range of 14.45km in front aspect and 28.71km in rear-aspect

Its not unreasonable to assume that more modern and capable IRCCM missiles, even without DL, will be able to match this kind of lock range. But more than likely exceed it. I wouldnt be surprised if ASRAAM, which has an effective range of 25-30+km. Could acquire a lock out that far.

Eh… Its okay. I dont know how good it actually will be for anything with armour. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

It will really depend on everything else RAM II is 3.7, but this has a comprable gun to the 2.7 Matilida or Crusader II.
So I fear it might end up like 3.0-3.3 where it will be rather undergunned

2pdr APHE isn’t great, normally still needs 2 shots to kill, and with only 66mm pen, it’s better to take the 89mm pen AP imo

IRIS-T has a lock range of 25km, and that’s a short range missile. I’d imagine ASRAAM, being made for longer ranges, has a larger lock range (at least I hope it does)
Im guessing 30-40km with anything past that relying on IOG

Has the CAMM MR actually been mounted on a land vehicle?
Isnt it still in development as well, has it even been deployed on any ships which are the main customer as i can tell.
It will for sure end up there since we have the A.C.I at 3.0 already wich is essential the same thing.
but i would say 3.3 since the RAM chassis is a tadd bedder then the A.C.I in my opinion.
