Surely they could also add proper AI target, like B-52/B-2 some TU-140 for the RU Side, how about some AWACS? Like, We have Eurofighters/Rafale fighting over Migs and Il-28 as AI xD

Yeah, they probably could do it with ease. Just… they probably see no point investing time into a gamemode that has been abdandoned by most due to a lack of update
and the Irony is that we could really do with a half dozen top tier vehicles instead of nothing but WW2 stuff

Yes but the fact is that everything non top-tier is omega fun.
I mean, once the tech is all up to modern age, where else will they possibly go? Make stuff up?
Playable wingman drones? Limited payload for lot higher G performance maybe. Of course other nations filled with copy pastes/ variants of existing vehicles. Also wait till 6th gen stuff is operational
