This is speculation. The CE has been equipped with the dual rack once. Any PLAAF 10C has never been seen with it
No it cant.
The J-16 has less and worse missiles compared to the SU-30, better TWR worse WVR capabilities,better BVR capabilities, worse CAS loadouts.
Rafale would still dominate in both CAS and Medium to WVR A2A combat.
J-10C is my favorite single seater aircraft but it would hardly be a upgrade of what we have atm
With the AL-31 engine it has a lower TWR than the J-10A, with the WS-10B its the same but with a lower top speed and worse maneuverability due to the much heavier airframe.
CAS is still meh.
While neither is a bad option I dont think the J-10C is what we need to compete at the top.

you probably have to wait for the other modern IR missiles to be on other planes as well, like the IRIS-T, Pl-10, AAM-5, ASRAAM and a few more

if you get the 16i now there might be the possiblity that it will never get the python 4

Yeah that’s the thing, they just dropped some very modern spec Rafale, there’s no need to hold back on non-VLO aircraft at this point.

I think its possible to and missiles like python 4 because at spaa it have add more adv versions of that kind of missiles like python 5 for spyder and aim 9 x block 2 for usa
