Frankly i find it annoying that people complain about an export tank that is operated by another nation and crewed by Thailand crew members is a bad thing simply because its being added as part of the sub tree for Japan.
Modern day Japan and Thailand at that.
Not sure what people expected…

To be fair China has Japanese vehicles too, and more than one, and the VT-4 is Thai, not Japanese.
Though I am also confused why it’s here, especially if Gaijin don’t see it as necessary for the techtree line. I would’ve expected a low-effort Leopard 2A4 from Indonesia as a premium, with Chinese vehicles silently excluded while other vehicles are added instead. At least from the old reply on Thai Chinese vehicles that’s what it sounded like to me.

Nowadays, it is evident that Thailand has a better relationship with China，If Thailand and Japan were placed together solely due to historical reasons，So the vehicles from Canada and the United States should be given to the United Kingdom.

I wouldn’t really say better, China just exports more. As a whole Thailand tries to balance relations between the major powers (US and China) instead of actively picking a side.
Though I don’t like how Canada is split either. Just pick one place so people can play Canadian lineups and not just “US/UK/DE with some Canadian vehicle in the lineup”

This involved update will cause warthunder to lose a large number of Chinese players. You can release Thai VT4 to the Japanese Tech Tree, but not during the sensitive time of 9.3. Otherwise, Warthunder is very likely to be banned in China (see Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege banned in China, no one is allowed to spread the game).

Gaijin hasn’t officially announced this date. We should wait for official announcement and only then the criticism would make sense.
I can understand this is a sensitive topic for the chinese people but we should wait for official announcement.
