Depends on the modelling, but just IRL it is the only PESA, vs the other two which are AESA radars.
The Irbis is a hybrid ESA radar it has multiple transivers but not one for every single receiver
Also due to the Irbis antenna apature being so big it is able to achieve really high ranges
And the biggest point that will make the Irbis good is it’s insane gimbal limits

Basically there is no clear distinction between AESA and PESA, there is no definition to say exactly how they are counted. In theory PESA can only control all the units universally. AESA should be able to control them separately, for sth like IRBIS it can control T/R units separately but sort of only a few of them in groups.
That’s true but I don’t really know how that’s gonna work out in WT, as long as it can pretty much cover the notching angles its pretty much fine, which most AESA radars are ok at.
True, although as you said it makes less difference when the entire map is say 200km. We have little information on the F15EX and J16, but given J16 is a flanker afterall probably has similar antenna size I would guess. Also given those two are 10-20 years younger I’d say it is safe to assume they have better radars.
Yes there is, quite a easy one. In PESA all antenna elements are connected to a single transmitter and/or receiver. In AESA each element has a separate T/R module.
Well Irbis has a few transmitters, but it would be pretty mad to call it an AESA, since there are like 5 of them.
Also seen from the PL15E seeker the elements are grouped in 5 to a single T/R module. They both blur the line.
I take that back, it seems it has only one receiver, so PESA.
IDK cause I have seen sources claim multiple T/Rs but can’t verify any of them.
Doesn’t IRBIS have pretty insane search angles compared to the other 2?
considering they’re likely fixed aesa I don’t see those radars going above ±70 degrees
Just a disclaimer, it is possible for AESA radars to go over 70 degree.
