carriers take a relatively long time to make no matter what.
Just throw them together like Lego pieces /j
It’s like one of those scammy claw machine games.
find the designer and fire him
Honestly, my expectatives about F-35 aren’t all that high after learning that it’s primarily equipped by AIM-120s.
Seeing how even AIM-120C-5 performs ingame, compared to what’s already in and eventually to come for other nations… heay, can’t look forward to it too much, hahah.
Any Meteor, MICA or R-77M operator will clown on AIM-120-armed F-35s.
Ok but that’s AIM-120C-5
Imagine how good the C-7 or D will be
AIM-260 has to lock in
will have 0 difference from 120c5…
Is there any difference really?
A and B are identical and C-5 is hardly any different… would C-7 brign anything to the table? Would it be remotely as maneuverable as its counterparts?
honestly, they will have the same treatment than the C-5
Don’t we all?
We know the D has a 50% range increase over the C-7
So…increase of the only stat that this missile doesn’t have problems with?
I guess, I don’t mind getting more effective range
So the only nations competing at top tier in terms of “light” long range missiles is going to be China, Germany, Italy, France and the UK funnily enough.
Russia and the US are kinda screwed
Thing is, range is practically meaningless in War Thunder past certain threshold.
Most engagements take place within 20 km, and hitting anything past 25km is practically impossible unless the target is literally AFK.
That’s why I think the best missiles are those that actually excel at hitting targets within 20km, instead of missiles that, theorically, supposedly, can hit targets at 40 km but then are barely average within 20 km…
AIM-260 will probably match or exceed PL-15/Meteor, and guess who Europe has to go through to get Meteors on the F-35?
Well that’s the point, with the D models they can exceed the 20km. I also heard of other HOBS improvements on other AMRAAM version that would carry over to the D and D-3
