Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

Stealth aircraft can go 1 of 2 ways

  1. The Stealth is OP as hell and ruins the MM for anything that can face them without stealth

  2. Stealth does nothing and the US mains spend every waking moment complaining about their stealth not doing anything.

Though honestly… We have so many 4th gens left to add, that even thinking about Gen 5s just feels dumb to me.

US can get later F-16, F-15 and F-18 variants and enough to last them for another year and a half at least. And thats without adding anything other than lower BR stuff.

Soviets are also not suffering on choices without the Su-57

Everyone else has options and upgrades for their current aircraft (let alone just getting their current aircraft up to IRL performance)

But the priority should be on Sweden and China, and to a lesser degree Japan, which dont really have much of a presence at 14.0 at the moment

Yup… So 3 guesses as to which Gen 5 will be totally cracked

16 missles… i know a few nations with only 6-8, from which one, only has acces to 4 radar missles…

4 AMRAAM internal, 8 external (four per wing, two per pylon), 2 external AIM-9X

That’s the F-35s theoretical maximum, so it’s what it can get in game.

That’s with full theoretical external + internal load, I don’t think there are any pictures of an F-22 with that or even with inner wing AMRAAM

The one benefit of Soyuz being busted is that it pathes the way nicely for the Lion, H and A-150 classes to be added

You’re assuming they’ll spawn subs next to BBs.

I’m waiting for the Super Yamato. More than 10% was build. So i’m waiting for the 510mm guns to be added on the Yamato.

Has it ever been tested or carried in real life? I’ve never seen an F-35 with dual AMRAAM on the wing hardpoints

I am not sure if it’s tested, who knows what happens outside of public view, but it is a capability Lockheed Martin state it to have.

Iirc the F-35B also is limited to only 4 external AMRAAMs instead of 8, but I’m not sure where I’ve seen that so take it with a grain of salt. But this might be an issue for Britain if true.

We are buying F-35As. So its fine

though id probably just use the F-35B most of the time because I enjoy VTOL in SB to RTB to a carrier

Maybe, but for now that’s just a graphic of a “future” F-35 from 14 years ago

Plans change, stuff gets dropped

Its probably like the Typhoon’s 6+6 weapons fit. Its theoretically possible, but wont ever be done unless the need arises, which probably wont happen in peace-time and therefore be near impossible to bug report.

I’ve also seen RENDERS with six internal AMRAAMs

Shame the Zipang wasn’t started, though the super yamato (or A150 if we went technical) would do nicely.

(If only carriers would be able to be playable in a way that doesn’t make all but 3 nations extremely disadvantaged).

Yeah, with sidekick weapons racks it could carry 6 internal missiles. But for these we know that F-35 normally can’t do that and I don’t know which (if any) are equipped with it.

Btw Smins official statement from around a month ago

so not this year (at least as of late June, who knows what they decided in the meantime)

Yeah, personally I won’t believe it unless I see solid evidence otherwise or actually see dual AMRAAM racks on both wing stations

He said this year. What if they push it to release January 2026 or summer 2026

Man, I sincerely hope they just cancel all that 5th gen nonsense.
It’s going to be such a mess
