Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

@YaSen
Don’t worry. There are no problem with Clemenceau and RRN Impero as an Rank VI premium.

We already have experience of USS Helena and Prinz Eugen become premium ship when their sister ship is at the end of the tree and highest BR(Zheleznyakov was added when battleships were added at New Power). Can happen twice if once happened.

Finally, the Forums consider me “an active player” and I can post again…

God forbid the player with 4,000+ hours behind her back over the course of 11 years takes a few days of vacation at the beach. Apparently that’s all it takes to be restricted from the Forums “for not being an active player”…

At this point the stuff I wanted to reply to has just fallen way too far behind to be relevant to the discussion anymore lmao.

I mean, I get the idea behind the mechanic, but it should be at least a month to trigger, not a 4 days or whatever it took to block me…

Clearly you’re not an active player, if the snail says so it must be true

Me when the accounts that have literally never played a single match before are allowed to vote No on suggestion polls but not playing the game 3 days and you can’t do nothing but the same

How does passed for consideration work for vehicles, like how are vehicles determined, is there any specific reason? Why do vehicles passed for consideration just sit for several years with no update on whether or not they will move beyond the stage of just being considered, especially when they could fill empty BR gaps and play styles?

The same lol
Although I had a break due to a new work, which includes long trips far from home.

Thank you for the clarification. (Edit: Due to the issue report having been closed. )May I ask if our developers will address this issue in the near future? This is truly important for the Stormer/HVM and Starstreaks, as high latency often causes shots to pass through targets. Perhaps a radar control interface could help mitigate this issue to some extent.

It’s also commonly beat f16s in training because f16 was very similar to MiG 29 they used it for training

How is the radar screen going to fix your latency issues? That’s a problem with your internet not the game

The radar control interface can automatically provide lead, guiding the missile toward the target. However, my main concern is whether the developers will address this issue promptly. Why are you focusing on this point?

Would the august update be a big one or a small one? Since we just had lots of stuff in Leviathans, I reckon it’d be a small update. Just givin FR/ITA some new AAs, USSR gets a new air premium, all of the things confirmed in the last stream and a bit of copy paste, that’d be it.

We don’t have august updates
The next major update is in a middle of September. After that it’s November and December

August as in the first dev comes out late August, but yeah, you are right

Well, if we don’t account for naval stuff in Leviathans, it’s actually very small update with extreme amount of bugs.
Modern SPAAs were clearly pushed to it from September major due to amount of errors with them. So…I guess more SPAAs for the rest of nations and a lot of fixes to already introduced ones.
Limited SEAD/DEAD implementation, maybe even some LOAL to counter SPAAs.
Another useless mechanic just because every update has to have it. I guess we’ll even see it soon in new community update.

I doubt if we would see any SEAD/DEAD in formal implementation, if there would be any, it would be like the last event I guess. LOALs depend on gaijin, if they feel like it then yes, but still, I think the addition of new SPAAs does not counter gaijin’s former rhetoric for not adding LOALs (as in they are not counterable by smoke grenades or switching positions)

LOAL is terrible from a gameplay perspective, if you give CAS the ability to launch guided ordinance
(not just GPS guided)
from cover without ever being visible to AA you can guess the result for top-tier
Same thing with MIL mode weapons

Already happens in the opposite direction
Basically any heli except Mi-28NM or new chinese one can’t even take off if there’s an SLM on a battlefield. SAM starts flying the moment heli spawns and hits 100% of the time due to high flare resistance.

And yes, SPAAs can intercept missiles

optical is enough actually, radar is just providing search
guidence is provided by the launch vehicle

There is too much to really cover in a single post to explain, but the short and sweet version is that every suggestion is factored in with considerations to existing currnent plans (normally spanning a year + in advance mapped out for vehicles, with some possible minor changes), avalable resources on said vehicle (sometimes, a vehicle may have a detailed suggestion, but when a deeper investigation is conducted, there is a lack of info, images or other core info that would he required on the vehicle avalable preventing it being possible), as well as the practicality and demand for the vehicle.

These are but a few considerations.

As for status updates, unfortunately its simply not practical or possible to provide individual responses to each specific vehicle as to why or why not it was rejected or included in plans. Each one can be different.

How was the CS/SA5 added then?
there are 0 available sources for any of the electronics on it like radar, Optics, tracking radar. Even on the missile itself the only publicly available information is guidance mode and range.

This isn’t the only example like this
