Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

This is also my personal bet.

The Gszabi sheet is somehow mostly early these days.

I take it as a guide that the week after is the one which will have devblogs.

Strange how an railway order from 1864 can also be used on a forum thread in 2025 hehe

very very niche use TBH

You said it yourself.

Well the Typhoon manual every version is classified something something DA.7…

Precisely.

So what i’m hearing is because the Su-30 and 27 are legacy designs and the manual isn’t classified because lets be honest it’s all outdated by todays standards.
Typhoon players have to suffer because the manual of their airframe is classified…

Almost like adding new things that are classified in game was always going to create this situation.

Remind me when main typhoon operators got an -ESA radar operational again?

Yet Captor-M is classifed.
We have spoken about this so many times, Captor-M was deemed superior to PESA and early AESA Radars.

Now it is getting long in the tooth but would still perform well against Russian equivalents with Priortity track and DL.

Modern air combat is about data and no peer air assets are not going to have an EAWACS asset, making 300km AESA Radars not a necessity when a EAWACS airframe has detected/deconflicted and catalogued threats and then fed them to your flight.

I hope the battleships are true. Feels a bit early for Iowa and Yamato.

In range and max power maybe. Everything else, AESA/PESA is better bc it’s almost instant beam steering

Also AWACS killers like R-37M and PL-17 are a serious threat

Progression in the naval tree is insanely slow. I’ve been playing on a Twitch premium ship, and it’s just unbelievably sluggish — especially considering that naval battles are way more tedious than tanks or even aircraft.

And it takes more effort too — you constantly have to stay alert. In tanks, you can chill and camp a bit. In air battles, at least while you’re flying around or bombing, there’s some downtime. But in naval? You’re constantly managing fire, flooding, aiming, torpedoes — it’s exhausting.

I honestly think this is one of the main reasons why the naval mode is so unpopular.

Just give us faster progression — what do you even lose by doing that?

2008 with the CAESER radar, but they chose to stick with CAPTOR-M until CAPTOR-E was ready.

But the developer of the CAPTOR-M and CAPTOR-E has been producing AESA radars since 2002 with that one in service with the US Coastguard

We have multiple secondary sources showing that Typhoon should be able to mount 8x AMRAAM, but has thus far been denied because “reasons”.

They want a Primary source that is classified.

But even forgetting about those extra AMARAM. The Typhoon has 50+ Bug reports pending at the moment, including multiple for the RADAR, Multiple for PIRATE, ITR, STR, Top speed, loadout options, HUD/HMD, MFD, Cockpit, DASS, CMs and hell, even the VWS is a placeholder at the moment.

There isnt a single thing on the Typhoon that isnt underperforming currently

I said operational, not prototypes

Fighter AESA is not the same as the Sea spray radar

The typhoon radar is ok for me, the reality is that by the very nature of RB Match design you’ll be outclassed in closer ranges and when at altitude differences, so even if the Captor-M is better than Early AESA/PESA, those advantages probably hold no value in a game like warthunder, and those 2 disadvantages I can live with, and would be fixed a bit with p-track

There are operational AESA Captor-E radars on Qatar and Kuwaiti Typhoons.
