It was a Blue Vixen from the Sea Harrier FA2 that they massively upgraded. Knowing they werent going to go with AESA straight away, they made CAPTOR-M a powerhouse radar

well the F-15C (pre MSIP II) would be the closest contemporary of the flanker. that thing could for sure give a flanker absolute hell.
EX is simply better than the SM2 and only thing the 35 has is aero performance, US AESA radars are almost certainly more advanced, and the flankers payload is frankly abysmal
combat range is pretty similar but because of CFT the F-15 can haul more, farther. 2 F-15EX could probably do the same damage as 3 flankers
it is a shame how bad CAPTOR-M is in game as it should be the most powerful mechanical search radar in game and I wouldn’t be surprised if it were better then some PESA and maybe ASEA radars
early PESA and extremely early AESA (like J/APG-1 prototype) maybe
M-scan is inferior in nearly every way to -ESA, especially AESA
It is powerful, except gaijin’s pasta code ruined every TWS+
but mostly in range part, target tracking is ESA’s advantage

I honestly expected it to be like the Tornado ADV radar, that thing is absolutely cracked. But nope! Can’t maintain target lock in TWS unless it’s the narrow scan.

We all but know the Typhoon can carry missiles in that configurayion the issue is no user has ever felt the need to do so.

Yes not because it isn’t possible though, And pretending Gaijin dont pick and chose which bug reports to action for gameplay reasons is stupid.
In game Su-30 carries 14 missiles show me a single image of a deployed Su-27SM or a Su-30 or a Su-35 carrying 14 missiles…The manual states it can do it but no one does.
Typhoon uses massively superior missiles an R-77-1 isnt even close to being on the level of a Meteor missile. R-74 is also not an ASRAAM. With that in mind the PK is higher and so why would you need 14 missiles when 6 Meteor and 2 ASRAAM will do the job?
I do wonder with the rapier going down to 9.7 I wonder if we can get the desert warrior moved to 9.7 with it, since right now it is the worst 10.0 IFV, it doesnt get the better darts of the VCC-80/30 or M3A3 and has less then half the fire rate of the dardo with the same pen
