With a nice break I’ve done a new card
Is it Brits move forward 10 spaces because they finally get a competitive aircraft at Rank VIII?
Woohoo!
Nah m8 Idkw you mean, we get told the Tornado should be enough xD
(high sarcasm)
Harrier gr7 most competitive aircraft in rank 8
The catch is that its a very late model canadian hornet at the end of its life so every match you have a 50% chance of having a catastrophic failure and crashing with a 30 minute crew lock
Oh right my bad lol. I forgot the F3 (why is it at Rank 8???) is more than enough for the UK. It’s the pilot, not the plane, after all.
Exactly, tbh I think it should’t been added because the Tornado’s are clearly OP right ? lol
Right so if we are that realistic then really we should only have mock up battles and no one should earn any RP’s : P
You gotta be kidding me, 2 missiles? I know they probably got logistics nearby IRL but this isnt going to cut it in WT
They would have to either make an exception or remove it all together for certain classes of missiles.
Then again if they plan to introduce IIR then it wouldn’t be so much of a stretch to remove MP for certain or all missiles with relevant historical data or of certain generations.
But I think with the exception of SPAA that would be hostile to gameplay.
Tbf eurofighter as well. Gripen is not terrible but definitely non meta. CAS wise HRR GR.7 does fine but meh on most other stuff.
Eurofighter is incredible its only overshadowed by the slightly below historical flight performance and the Rafale just being giga buffed for no apparent reason. No One could seriously call it bad even if several of its features are underperforming or straight up poor (radar)
You can say for the rafale that its the last jet France will ever get before gen 5(RNLAF F-35A) which is probably 2 years. But at the same time, Britain, Germany and Italy are not likely going to receive any new jets or upgrades of the eurofighter, so I guess that didnt quite explain it, even counting subtrees.
I think it’s just flavour of the month to encourage grinding of that specific nation, they already had to be inventive with the variant but I don’t see why it needed rapidfire sequential buffs to virtually everything when the next closest aircraft essentially got rapidfire sequential nerfs to its important characteristics. Fully expect it to be nerfed like Eurofighter was (ironically to the point where it underperformed more than it originally overperformed).
But you’re correct for all of these nations there really isn’t anything to add bar F-35. The UK could perhaps lay a claim to the TF KAAN as it’s a BAE product which Turkey needed permission from the UK to design. Perhaps the UK can eventually get the Tempest proto when that flies in the next few years.
It’s pretty boring. However for Eurofighter nations the positive is this is essentially the worst possible version of the jet we could ever have. Some further buffs apply to armament, general stores capacity if gaijin choose to add the inner rail MRAAM, radar there’s CAESAR which is fixed plate, or the ECRS series which are gimballed, there’s BOL buffs to be added, Britecloud active countermeasures, towed decoys, Brimstone buffs as well as HOPE, HOSBO and Marte, tuning of the FM which is almost universally buffs, better HMD, 2-Way datalink.
French bias or whatever bias isn’t the right take away though I want to stress.
Hope they buff aim9m next update out of toptier probably one of the worst missiles if not the worst
not really, we can all get late versions with ASRAAM, IRIS-T and Meteors im pretty sure all 3 also at least have a prototype fitted with Captor-E so thats a big upgrade
also if brochures are enough to get a certain russian weapon added there is always this
Agree. Its probably flavor of the meta, as without shifting metas gaijin isnt going to make money since say everyone sticks to like Germany or Russia etc and has no incentive to spend or grind other trees. We saw this with Sweden and arguably Italy, we dont know whos next, perhaps China, we are not sure. On the other hand we didnt see the problem on leclercs addressed, but that is the same on most cases and cant explain a lot.
Also a reminder Aim 9’s range in theory is 18km, realistically 3km max. I would say no more than 10 if not 8km.
That’s for both targets closing towards each other, which is entirely the situation in WT within which you would use SPAA. Also CAMM has a booster pack upon launch to accelerate it and then its essentially an ASRAAM, which there is a British documentary that says ‘effective between 200 metres and 50km’.
If all else fails there is also CAMM-ER. Which is a 40km missile. (Publically)
