Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

Yeah true, I hope they actually do that.

Though it’s probably just that the tree at that rank is already pretty full, so they just add it as an event because “there won’t be an Indian line anyways”. Which is something I really dislike, even if they’d technically be somewhat right as the game is now without some big changes to tech trees in general.

Sadly its never going to be possible to satisfy each opinion on the matter.

We added a unique jet in a previous event and we had comments such as:

The next event was then a minor variant of an existing airframe, with some visual differences and then the comments become:

And now we come to the current event, which is a new aircraft entirely that doesn’t remove any specific gameplay or key domestic options to its host tree and some of the comments are:

But, after all, this is exactly why we have a range of events, spanning from variants of existing vehicles to unique new vehicles too. Everyone gets a shot at some point at something they like and can look forward too :)

Yeah, this is why I think F-14 IRIAF was the perfect event vehicle. Well liked airframe, interesting new weapons, perfect balance of unique new features and not taking away from tt

Fair, there’s always multiple ways to look at things.

One is that unique vehicles are locked behind a time limited event and with that taken from the trees potential pool of regular additions in the future.

But the other is that an event is still a considerable amount of effort, and people want to earn something they consider worth their time.

Personally I like how these things are handled now, it’s probably the most people pleasing way currently. Unique vehicles added sometimes to make events “worth it” for the people that want that, but still less unique vehicles sometimes to slow down the rate that those unique vehicles need to be locked in events.

But this is the part that I dislike, specifically about subtrees.

The way it is now it’s still mainly Britain, taking some Indian stuff as they please. That’s something I personally dislike about the subtree system as it is implemented currently, but not a specific issue with this event.

Not the best balanced in br terms tho but that’s another story.
I agree that events like the IRIAF tom cat are usually the best choice so that if you miss it you can still obtain the same airframe some way else and if you get it you obtain something really unique.

I for one am happy our Snail overlords finally added this plane, please dont stop adding unique Indian vehicles (yes, the Vijayanta/Vickers mk1 are arguably Indian fite me and I want moar ^^).

Let the haters hate

edit: though I do request gaijin make sure to adjust its GRB BR according to its abilities if possible as I reeeeeally would like to make a lineup with the Vijayantas without too much uptiers xD

I mean it could just be a case of a person got mixed up with the Swift but even then the Swift isn’t well known enough to get confused lol

Eh it got nerfed too hard. Initially it was pretty good but it got screwed pretty quickly. Still not bad though

Well to me the rear end looks like a Mig-19 or an A-5 feel to it

the A-5 is a modified mig-19

Man, besides the previously announced SPAAs, keeping us this dry with barely any hints of new stuff or relevant info AT ALL has been a wild change 💔

CM disclosure #6?

yeah, i forgot it, changed the ‘without any’ for ‘barely any’, but still. It’s been REALLY quiet —weekend aside obvs—.

Well tbf they did say a ton of stuff about the update in it

And that’s right, they mention a lot of things they round up from some already existing features, but the vague hints they’ve been giving vehicles-wise were nothing more that they either promised or were previously leaked but postponed, hence the bitter-ish? feeling.
