Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

There are two reasons for this:

ELTA EL/M-2052

AN/APG-73 (not even the APG-79 on the F/A-18E)

  1. It’s a Kfir, meaning it’s a much smaller radar than the APG-79
  2. It uses Derby missiles, which are much more limited in range than what the 18E would have (eg. 120C-5).

It will perform just fine. If it really needs to be lower then so be it. Seeing as this is about a hypothetical BR with planes that aren’t even close to being added yet, there’s no reason to argue over what BR it should have. It’s hypothetical.

I was considering each of the vehicles above 14.0 having access to AIM-9Xs and AIM-120C-5s. Those missiles alone warrant a much higher BR. In this hypothetical TT things are still incredibly compressed. It’s hypothetical. I’m not 100% advocating for things to be implemented this way. This is obvious because it includes F-22s, F-35s, and the F-55 🙃

And I am one of them.

Doesn’t really matter, Typhoon T4 still has to be added to the game to keep up with the Rafale

It doesn’t really. The thing that needs to be done to the Typhoon is for its radar to be fixed. If that’s done, it’ll easily be the best fighter in game.

What Tranche they are only indicates the standard they had at production. The Eurofighters we have in game are P3E Standard, which introduced Brimstones. Meteor was part of P2E.

Can we expect any news today?

Every time someone ask for a blog or leaks, they get scared and will runaway

It’s possible.

@/gszabbi99’s spreadsheet predicted the first devblog would be the 13th, which has passed already (it was this Tuesday). Considering the first devblog usually shows up Tuesday/Friday, today would be the next date with the highest probability of having a devblog.

Personally, I expect Friday initial devblogs more than Tuesday initial devblogs. The “schedule” seems to fit towards next week being the “hype week” for next patch. The patch is due mid-June, and having a Tuesday devblog this week would entail a very early dev stream/server (about a week early). This coming week is where we can probably start to expect devblogs, a teaser, and a dev stream/server.

If we don’t get a devblog today, we can probably expect one next Tuesday.

Still think we won’t likely get one today due to the fact you look at the previous updates the last Friday on was 5 updates ago

Anymore stuff the US want to claim ?

Every F-15 and F/A-18 built, More F-16’s there whole export market and the F-22.

Not in the US tree lol

The US didn’t purchase Block 70/72s. That’s what the F-16C PoBIT is. It upgrades American Block 40/42s and Block 50/52s to Block 70/72 standard.

tbf do we even have any idea of what the F55 would look like? do we even know if its an actual thing because a twin engine F35 would require a massive overhaul to the airframe to the point most people I have talked about it with think its not an actual project and just something trump brought up

mix of it being bugged and the typhoon not having its long range IR missile that would make it useful (the ASRAAM)

since we havent got any leaks to go by, what are the chances of an actual devblog today?

from what I remember reading the refale is also currently over preforming and with the nerfs the EFT is underperforming if I remember right

Twin engine F-35. That’s about it. Probably something more in line with J-35A. Hopefully with the same awesome looks of the J-35A too.

Given most partner countries were rather disappointed with F-35 compared to the hype from early on in the project, not saying its bad, but was completely overhyped when these countries bought in, this puts it closer to expectations. Perhaps something like a twin engine F-35C could convince the UK to make the swap to catobar if for example LM agreed to use a UK based engine or make a variant with a UK engine.

Shenyang J-35 - Wikipedia

I imagine the F-55 will be up and running pretty soon, as far as aerospace projects go, as twin engine designs were considered for F-35 early on at least in the UK but definitely carried on over to the main project.

However it does lend itself to some funny jokes about this time the US copying China rather than the other way around…
