Considering how as far as I know WT and WTM use the same models, the latter just uses a lower LOD and hides certain parts of the model, as @Motherhen357-psn often points them out in his posts, that’s unlikely.
What would such a modernisation entail? Just more turrets, or would it also include more in depth structural changes?
On that note i hope that Aces of Thunder, dont have anything in the background as FOMO content, and they incoporate the improvements in VR into War Thunder.
Or do you think AoT is the New War Thunder 2.0 ???
The difference is very big. For example, adding almost indestructible armor, enhancing torpedo protection, and more AA guns. It also obtained new Type91 shells. Modern modifications have almost turned it into a new ship.
Extensive enhancement in survivability. Additional armor on turret front, barbette, hull deck, bow bulkhead, front turtleback, rear magazine part. AA guns also enhanced with 8 5’’ guns and multiple(depends on which version) of autocannons.
Also addition of hydroplane.
In personal opinion, Mutsu should be come as 1943 version, just left Amagi and Tosa as pre-refit 16’’ battleship. Mutsu in 1920s configuraion took off big potential of Japanese bluewater lineup.
I hope not because as good as CAP is I would rather have something that doesnt require me to get kills to spawn encase im just immediately killed by a plane 2 minutes into the game
Don’t take any stock in what mobile does. What happens there has very little to no bearing on what happens here (iirc they have anti-ship missiles there but Gaijin claims we’re, thankfully, not going to have them here for a long time). Plus we already know for a fact that they have Nagato’s modernized turrets modeled and complete (go look at Amagi).
Honestly I find it impressively lazy, even for Gaijins already incredibly low standards, that they’d literally copy and paste Mutsu to act as Nagato considering the two ships were not identical at any point in their lives.
