Thats one of the more recent additions (Murasame you mean?) but the classic Japanese WW II DDs struggle since they have a hard time dealing with the Anti fragmentation armor and in returned they have no armor and will be turned into swiss cheese from the 40mm AAs.
I didnt say we suffer at top tier, just in the middle field i find it a bit lacking compared to other nations.

Ngl i am too, japanese heavy cruisers are a personal favorite even if i prefer the looks of the British york and county overall
wich is 4.0 where i said its still fun.
But most of the 4.3 Ships and upwards have their issues (Torpedos excluded, they are one of the best)
The only place id say there is a struggle is 4.7 before you get kako, kako is good enough for there (just dont touch the tama, sendai and isuzu)

Everything up to 6.7-7.0 is just a pain for Japan. IMHO.
I disagree but im not gonna argue it, its opinion at the end of the day, i just dont feel japan needs another top tier capital ship for a while since they have 7 including event stuff
