Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

F-15E (post RMP standard) with AN/APG-82(V)1 AESA radar better Su-30SM for BVR combat

The F-15SA worse advanced Eagle variants and inferior to F-15QA, F-15EX and F-15IA. but I suppose saudi for independent pan-arab tech tree

F-15EX Air-to-Air armaments & guided Air-to-Ground munitions better F-15QA

Located after J-10A (early) and BR 14.0 or higher

But, armed chinese 5th gen IR missile PL-10 ?

The first domestic swedish fighter aircraft with AESA radar

Personally, BR 15.3 if get AIM-120C-8 for Gripen E (late)

No, Finnish F-18 thats on par with current US model.

Gripen NG would be the first technically and we dont need the E right now when the NG does the job better without screwing the E up.

i honestly dont care for cas as if i wanna do cas i take the F15-E What I want is a maneuverable fighter with good weapons that doesn’t stall immediately after 1 turn like F18 id like something like F15-QA which has near supermaneuvrability and great energy retention

PLUS F15-EX just came out its too new its got parts from F35 which would make it far too good right now

F15-QA should give america near equal footings with eurofighter in a dog fight

Awww…
@Smin1080p_WT any info on the possibility of a tech tree A-6 anytime soon?

probably some time soon it will likely be DOA and no one will care with F14-D F2A etc

TBF its basically the same F-18 the US has so its another 420k rp grind for sweden air for 1 difference, so the 4th times they’ve done this.

I’m looking forward A-6 Intruder for researchable tree rank VII - VIII

When western standard & chinese surface-to-air missile top tier 12.3 BR ?

still broken

Honestly not even surprised anymore when a fix for a bug doesn’t fix the issue. Seems to be half the things they “fix” nowadays

dude its been three years and peoples cross hairs still get stuck in custom battles whether it be stuck on ground or nose

does anyone know any other vechiles missing AOA button that had it irl other than tomcat im trying to figure out if it is a isolated scenario or not

The F-16’s are missing it. It uses Manual Pitch Override the same as the Eurofighter.

You can see the switch for it in the cockpit.

I’ve been trying for find some documents that show it and talk about it’s functionality but I can’t find any that are suitable. (They show what I need but can’t be used since they are exported restricted and I’m not going to use them for that obvious reason.)

There’s plenty of videos on it from DCS which has it modelled but I don’t think they will accept DCS as evidence. Even though they would have their own evidence for the feature and is far more accurate than WT.

ive heard it only does negative pitch though ? is that true im not hundered percent certain if it exists its in F16 A and C manual whihc you can find on internet archive

DCS also has there own forums someone on there may be able to help and may also already have evidence

Yeah it can always override negative G but it can also override the limiter if the AoA is above 29 degrees.

Also I just found a bug report someone made about it so we just have to wait until either a response to it. Less work for me I guess. Genuinely didn’t think to look for another F-16 model but yeah they all have the same system.
F-16 AoA override missing

let me know if they say yes that would definetly strengthen the case for a bias against the tomcat

Just looking through the bug reports I did find one saying that the JF-17 should have an AoA switch too.
JF17 not getting AOA switch
It does seem to be right as in DCS the JF-17 has an AoA limiter modelled.

I can’t find any reports for it but the Tornado’s should also get an AoA switch too.
