That would be a more reasonable addition over an F-22 which sounds like a total balancing nightmare, Though I also dont think the US would suffer if they got nothing this next major and instead we saw aircraft like the F-2, J-10B and Gripen E instead. A long with much needed overhauls to TWS+ and other aspects of top tier ARB / ASB
Perhaps, but I still dont think aircraft like the F-15E necessarily suffer though. Unlike previous match-ups like the Tornado F3 haivng to try and dogfight Mig-29s and F-16s with 100m MP and inferior weapons, the F-15E is barely behind the competition, and maybe even ahead of it in some areas.
Its just a different playstyle to what the US is use to
F22 is completely unnecessary id far prefer a updated F15 as F16C loses to eurofighter in most dogfights
F15-E FM wise only advantage over most planes is speed as its faster than most canard fighters it does fall far behind in a gun fight compared to eurofighter which is why a later F15 model would be nice for most customs and things
F18 bleeds speed far to fast to be good counter aswell
and maybe F-14-D at some point to as thats a plane that should be in by now
Would also have IRST depending on how Gaijin wants to take it. AIM-120s were tested on it and approved but was later dropped cause the Navy already put an EOL for the aircraft and didn’t want to waste the money on integration. Apparently the F-14D also had used 9Xs in it’s life time according to a pilot but idk.
I guess if you removed the what ifs though yeah it just a better F-14B.
That’s fair, there were earlier versions they skipped. I think they would pair very nicely with decompression since if they were added right now they would be 14.0 as well
