Only because certain alternatives were hard denied repeatedly.
But if I had known the cost of the Gripen, being the total and complete destruction of BOL and any semblence of historical modeling for them. Id have wanted it to never ever come and now we have the Typhoon, it serve no real purpose anymore, especially as it has the weakest ARH missiles
Then I can’t think about any new standalone nation, all of candidates are on similar level to India in terms of options and/or require multiple nations in a single TT.
Can we expect Su-30MKI and Rafale soon as the British air is left behind again with only one EFT that is basically obsolete since Rafale exist which is currently best fighter in the game? Also given US got another 3 4th gen fighters in a single update. Should stop adding planes to US as they have way more than other nations and focus on others top tiers instead.
Any chance we’ll actually get BOL modeled even half correctly anytime soon or will BOL continue to be massively and ahsitorically nerfed through the floor to the point of near uselessness.
I cant ignore the irony that Britian uses on nearly every single Rank 8 aircraft (and the only one that doesnt should have it) and its been nerfed as much as it has been.
Just hoping Gaijin cares enough about BOL for the other nations that use it to actually some day fix it
But does it really like that or Gaijin just don’t know about domestic vehicles?
Like we get G6/rooikat/ratel/ZA-35
G6? But Britain didn’t receive any domestic SPH,(only American M44 and M109).
Domestic Alvis Piranha or Saladin with 90mm KEnegra, wich fire APFSDS, can propose same gameplay like rooikat 76mm.
And we already have Vickers Mk.11 and VFM5 and… Please can you remind me what gap the rooikat closes??
A really a lot of domestic wheeled GKN Simba and Vickers Valkyr variants. Wich can propose same gameplay as ratel.
ZA-35? And what gap does it close? Marksman?)))
For real, Gaijin didn’t even spend a second to check “Does this nation even have a lack of domestic stuff with same gameplay?”
And about India as SubT for Britain Bullanikov says enough.
I’ll add a few.
India has its own 4th gen aircraft, its own heli with FnF missiles. A really cool FnF ground carriers. Arjun. Zorawar and in 2030 they will show new MBT wich easily can be 12.0
The Gaijin literally loses the possibility to sell another VIII rank premium ground + air + heli. For 90$ each.
Instead this, you prefer to permit people who once spend a 90$ (or just slap talisman on VII rank) have access to absolutely new gameplay style from other nation???
Its absolutely Irrational, And it is not profitable for Gaijin.
It might be when we get CAPTOR-M but with Buggy Vixen it has currently… Its more a chore than an aircraft to fly.
And If CAPTOR-M cannot be added, CAPTOR-E needs to be seriously considered.
But the Typhoon has soooooo many problems from the fake BOL modeling, to its totally nonsense A2G loadout, that it really needs some TLC, but alas, its outside the honeymoon preiod so god knows if it will get any
Going back to this point I really hope the dev’s are now thinking of a rework to how subs are added, as slotting them in the main tree is chocking the main’s. Especially now with the BeNeLux now being classed as one sub.
It is significantly worse than Rafale and its radar doesnt work most of times. Gripen is not viable anymore especially since it have R-Darter and not AMRAAM. So Su-30MKI to get some sort of new flavor to the tree and Rafale to be competetive with french one. Cause as of now,Rafale have best radar and is the best A2G/A2A platform in entire game.
Britain largely ditched the whole block thing after block 1 iirc. and even now, some of the airframes are being retired because they are block 1 airframes and cant be upgraded to handle the CAPTOR-E iirc.
I dont know if its the same for Italy and Germany, but for Britain, an FGR4 is an FGR4. Meaning we could have anything from CAPTOR-M, ASRAAM and Aim-120C5s (or whatever palceholder they want to give us) to CAPTOR-E, ASRAAM, METEOR and SPEAR-3s and it would be entirely and completely historically accurate.
Even now, Brimstones werent first fitted onto the airframe until the Brimstone 2 in 2017/2018 and I think the dual mounts for the Paveway IVs are quite a late modification too, as I dont think they had them going into Op Shader.
2013:
Typhoon possesses the ability to fly with up to six Paveway IV bombs, which have already proven their effectiveness during the RAF’s 2011 air campaign over Libya, and also in Afghanistan. - Source
