As we have already mentioned, there isn’t a need to either the FR or NF Meteors at this moment in the UK tree.
The UK tree already has 2 F.8s at the BR where the FR.9 would be and plenty of aircraft overall at Rank V compared to Israel. So for the time being, they are not planned to come to the UK tree anytime soon.
can you provide sources of the f117a having a lower rcs than others aircrafts? What I found says otherwise
Also “stealthiest ever made” is a very risky statement considering the prototypes such as the yf23 which was significantly stealthier than the yf22
What about updating the F.8 models for the UK (and Israel) to the same visual standard as the Belgian ones?
The Meteors for other nations are noticeably lower polygon models than the one introduced on the most recent Meteor.
The only actual difference between these planes is the early vs late canopy type. All three nations used both styles on canopy on their F.8s however, so it’s hardly a major barrier to giving all nations the enhanced model like has been done typically with other remastered models (B-17, M-41 etc.)
Hopefully the event vehicle isn’t using the Israeli F.8 model as its basis, and instead derives from the remastered model.
No need but isn’t the game about variety?
Cuz like, top tier is cool n whatnot, for those who like it, but I and many others would prefer to see more minor variants of gen 1/2/3 jets that everyone can enjoy if interested ( i mean, that’s also what folders are for right?).
We have an event about to start right now where a unique version of the Meteor can be obtained (FR.9), and yet some are still complain about it being “copy / paste”. So sadly we cannot please everyone in that area unfortunately.
In the case of Israel, they have very few early aircraft that can be added. So we are careful and mindful about what can be used and where. So that nothing too significant is taken away from the main tree, whilst also finding ways (such as events) to deploy some of the alternative variants of vehicles they may have, that otherwise wouldn’t provide anything new to the tree if it were added for research.
Britain as it stands has 6 Meteor variants currently already. Which is more variants than most aircraft series typically. So at the current moment, there isn’t a need for more (both from gap filling and “variety” perspectives) in the British tree. It’s more beneficial for Israel to have two unique versions for now.
That’s not to rule them out ever coming to the British tree. Just they are certainly not planned anytime soon.
Well it had a DEFA 30mm gun, and unlike the EAP it didn’t go on to become a fully armed fighter so it makes more sense to add it than the EAP
I’d add, the Lavi is more unique to Israel than the EAP is to its nations, mostly for the reason above
