Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

Real man :(
Swedish Archives arent huge fans of finding it either, proper info on the Swedish versions are such a pain to find and theres few and far between

Strela and OSA use entirely different types of ordinance. Rapier has less than half the explosive mass of the Strela and significantly less (almost 10 times) than the OSA. So naturally they are going to be far less ineffective.

Every nation has open reports on their vehicles. Its not just Britian.

The notion that there is somehow an Anti-British bias is entirely fabricated unfortunately and does not help resolve any matters or lead to any constructive outcome.

Yeah i dont blame him if he has elected to not do it, i’d get proper miffed if i got spammed that

Thats why i ask smin once per update R&R if there are any news on the falcons, its only once and he always disappoints unfortunately but im not going to complain or spam him

It lists 4 sources:

  • T-34-85 Medium tank 1944-94 by Steven J. Zaloga and Jim Kinnear.
  • War Journal of 1st Battalion of Tank Brigade 1st of January - 30th of June 1944.
  • Military manual: Opaskirjanen puna-armeijan tärkeimmistä panssarivaunutyypeistä ja niiden - torjunnasta (1942).
  • Article: T-34, sukeltava sotka by Marko Erikson and Jaakko Puuperä in Suomen Sotilas magazine 5/2003.

But only one is attached:

Its not clear which this is from or where that info comes from. So its sourcing will need to be corrected before it can be passed.

I figure mods occasionally just miss it so i send it normally like once maybe twice a month when i remember its still open.

Its more so a bug, i may need to redo the report but the main focus is that both Finnish T-34 have the add on armor weight added to them depsite not having the add on armor. Its a bug which was discussed in the comments, i can remake the report if needed but thats what it ended up as in the end.

.2t of weight has been given to them as their base weight which matches the soviet models when the add on armor is equiped so its just from gaijin copying the soviet stats over but forgetting to fix the weight.

if i did that for each of my reports, smin and gunjob would have a restraining order on me
Trust me, my List Of Outstanding Bugs is long and distinguished

You should ask people to bug mods with your reports.

/this is sarcasm, no smite pls

Does this mean we can finally get our Mk103 engines on the Tornado Gr1?

Please do not. Its bad enough getting spam tagged. Please do not go and pester every moderator when you don’t get an answer from one. Moderators are volunteers who give their free time to contribute here. They are also humans with lives and are also players themselves too. Like all our community moderators (Forum, GM, Wiki, Live etc).

Spamming them does not help or make them process your request faster.

Bug reports are for when the vehicle is added and not having a dev server and not testing something.
As I said rushed and added to the game after multiple dev servers in a broken state.

Britain received 1 (2) vehicles in the last update and Gaijin couldn’t even get one vehicle right.

Havent read it but heres a secondary source

It is only secondary as i dont know where Sweden got it from but its official business

As has already been explained and answered before. Tornado GR.4 was always planned to be added with Mk 103 engines. GR.1 has 101s intentionally as there is difference and progression between the two. Among other things.

Do not worry smin, Goobjoob has not been pestered… by me at least

I have been consumed in a smin sandwich

Spoiler

Bug reports happen before, during and after a dev server and apply to all nations. Britain is not an exception here.

Ah, yeah ill need to find my books and just post their covers and pages i guess. I don’t really get why i need so much info when its fairly obvious it was a bug but i get it, ill have to remake it later this week once im off work.

So… Why was this not done for either Germany or especially italy?

They litereally have a TT Tornado IDS with a loadout that is actually accurate for the timeframe that the Mk101 engines were in service, and yet even the Tornado IDS (early) in the Italian TT in game has Mk103 engines.

Likewise, the Tornado A200A could equally have come with Mk101 engines and the recently added Tornado A200C could have come with Mk103 engines and yet, also did not.

Im sorry, but this notion that we have to have an ahistoric engine on the Tornado GR1, just because of this exceedingly strange notion of “progression” when the same isnt applied to the other 2 nations is just insane. Especially when combined with the incorrect BR

If you really want to create a feeling of progression, then add a Tornado Gr1 (early) with Mk101 engines and a loadout appropriate from the 1970/80s, but the GR1 with TIALD is from the mid ot late 1990s and is just insane to still have Mk101 engines as a clear and intentional nerf that can only be interpreted as an intential “Anti-Britain” nerf.

This is a waste of both of our times I understand you are towing the party line.
The Rapier making it to the live server in the it’s current state, is a disgrace

@Pheonix_RX01 this source does support your claim

If there is evidence to support that, then it can be reported and passed for consideration.

If a need for an earlier Tornado to be split off arises, then it can be reconsidered at that time. But for the current aircraft, it is as it is intended.
