I don’t know. Depends on the maps and kit they get access to. Games like BF demonstrate infantry still has a place when 3rd person AFV / CAS is about.
Infantry is always going to be absolute hell to deal with in urban / CQB maps for tankers.
Also depends how they handle infantry damage models. Are we gonna be telling grunts to hold this DM53 and hear over coms “You’ve got a hole in your left thigh!”, or are they going to get domed by singular MG rounds as you’d expect.

I’m not pretending to know nothing. I am stating with Gaijins history I am EXTREMELY doubtful infantry will be coming to war thunder permanently.

I think they did the damage model of infantry pretty well during the mobile infantry event a couple years ago.
from what little I can remember from what little I played, you would take a single round to the arm or leg and be considered “ded”
