2018 (Silent Thunder) tested player launched/deployed nukes
2021 (Warfare 2077) tested the first (and current) Scout Drone UAVs
2022 (Worm Thunder) tested some new damage mechanics if I remember correctly
2023 (Mobile Infantry) also tested the alternate Scout Drone (quadcopter), but the results could have been dissatisfactory
2024 (Mad Thunder) also tested and introduced more advanced wheel damage models
2020 (Space Thunder) probably tested stuff too, but as with the quadcopter drone, the results may have been dissatisfactory. Perhaps they tested some physics, graphics and sound stuff in that event.

2023 is mostly about ground based FnF missiles arguably, i mean the event that followed it included the QN506
That’s true, I just thought it would be worth mentioning that the events can be for testing more than just one thing and that not everything that was tested has to make an appearance ingame later
(The QN506 has a lil quadcopter helipad btw, almost as if they wanted to add that drone too)
Well i don’t know if we would be needing decoupling would be interesting. But as you said we already have the controlling 2 units mechanic in game.

Finally one of my more knowledgeable feilds.
Would M2HB equipped vehicles become meta?
And would shotguns be any good?
Mate, this is a vehicular combat game with infantry shoehorned in for an event. Shotguns are gonna be pretty bad and even the smaller caliber MGs would be enough to deal with the meatbags.
You would probably be better off with multiple small caliber MGs instead of just one .50 cal

Dang just watched the trailer :D love it can’t wait!
.50 cal can deal with cover better though
And modern body armor can stop rifle caliber rounds no?
The building walls and sandbags among other things
The Mobile Infantry soldiers couldn’t really deal with the 7.62mms, so I don’t expect soldiers with much less armor and no face protection to be able to

Are we still talking about War Thunder?
I’m talking about the trailer, there were buildings and sandbags in it
IRL most buildings offer very little in the way of protection from .30 cal rounds
Well, did you play the Mobile Infantry event? If it’s anything like that there won’t be much in terms of buildings to take cover in or other stuff able to withstand even 7.62mm MGs
This also screams to me ENGINE update SOON!
