If only I wasn’t so disillusioned when it comes to suggestions on these forums…
I really can’t get excited about suggestions being passed for consideration after looking through the backlog on the old forums and how long ago most of the interesting ones were passed.
Being passed for consideration is more akin to being sent into purgatory indefinitely.
I wish the devs would at least do basic communication when it comes to the consideration part. Let us know whether you accept or reject a suggestion instead of leaving that up in the air.

@Smin1080p_WT can you tell us how the Tornado RET8 performs compared to the Tornado ASSTA1?
Seeing they are at the same BR
While the RET8 gets MUCH (3x) more options in the guided ground weopons area
Yeah some comments by the devs on each suggestion would be nice. But I think they are still pretty exciting to see what has gotten passed to the devs and what we can possibly see in the future, even if that future is nowhere close.

To get the conversation going, with April Fools being tomorrow (Currently March 31st here in Canada as of writing), anyone have any ideas what the event could be or what Gaijin may be trying to implement?

Datamines suggest a strategic bombing themed event, and with the recent passed to devs, i think it’s going to be something with big bombers, and lots of spacebar, also i hope nukes, let me carpet nuke somewhere

Yeah the last update seems to have broken everything.
Either Strategic bombing or multi-vehicle controls like advanced AA systems are most likely.
Personally though I would love to see testing WW1 era, specifically WW1 aircraft. With WW1 aircraft in Aces of Thunder I think it would be great to test how they would be like to play in War Thunder.

Strategic bombing would not be “April Fools”-like at all, I don’t think those leaks (or the ones for SEAD) are related to April Fools at all

I can think of a couple of interesting ways to disguise testing multi-vehicle AAs, but how the heck would they disguise a Strategic Bombing mode?
It’s either strategic bombing or it isn’t, no matter if it’s from a V-Bomber, some steampunk airship or some sci-fi spacecraft. They could be testing things related to such a mode (AI behaviour, patrol and escort mechanics), but it would feel rather uninspired if the April Fools event ends up as just strategic bombing missions with fictional vehicles.
There’s some rumors that they’ll test strat bombers in the 1st april event, i hope that’s the case and they end up adding such planes like they did with the helos and modern mbts.
B-52 is one of my favorite planes, i’d play with it all day regardless of being meta…

imagine a b-52 strategic bombing mission but after they hit their targets the bomber group gets intercepted by aliens or dragons or something lol

I love all bombers, o hope they add all of them specially tu160 and b1b
B-1B and Vulcan would be great to see alongside the B-52. Maybe then in the future we could get something like the B-2 or even the B-21 in the far future.
But I do hope that if added we don’t get the MS Paint cockpits. I get that it would take the devs a lot of effort to make them but proper cockpits should be a requirement for them. Failing that just some good cockpit placeholders would be ok.
