A Gnat F.1 has only 2 hard-points wired for weapons (There are separate drop tank hard-points)
For the UK weaponry would be limited to 3" rockets and 540lb bombs.
Finland is much the same.
The Indian Airforce did however modify the outer fuel tank hard-points for weapons on their Ajeet Gnat derivative, this allows for an expanded load of up to 4x Matra SNEB, UB-16, and UB-32 rocket pods, along side the previous 3" rockets and 540lb bombs. Max load was 900kg total.
There where proposals to put magic 1s on the Ajeet, but no one really knows if it happened, there’s certainly not any photos found of it.
BR wise the Gnat is extremely perfomant and would probably sit around the same BR as the Sagittario 2/Ariete, so around 9.0/9.3. It was designed as a fighter and excelled in that role.

Oh right, I totally forgot about the Sagittario 2 and Ariete sitting so high. Guess 9.0 or 9.3 would be very realistic BRs for the Gnat lol

imo they’re a little too high, but Gaijin probably won’t lower them lmao, and neither a Gnat when that get’s added.

Yeah, based on the plane specs those and the Gnat would be pretty close, the Gnat probably being a bit more nimble and harder to hit due to its size, while the Ariete/Sagittario 2 has much more firepower

Yup, basically there are no new airframes left to be added aside from the 5th Gens. We’ve gone a long way since Danger Zone!
If they expand types of vehicles there will be though. I hope they add researchable drones
If not exclusive to top tier there are also quite a few cold war fighters left

Well there are the advanced eagles. Imo they toe the line between new airframe and existing. All digital, new FBW, some airframe improvement (like composite), more hardpoints
I mean yeah you’re right, but then the Super Hornet would also be a new airframe, which I guess it kind of is. I really wonder what the F-15EX is gonna be like in War Thunder

Probably gonna be like a slightly lighter F-15E with a better radar
Upgraded F-15E and EX share radar and most avionics
But yes, better than current F-15E, if that’s what you meant
Other than some armed trainers and modern bombers like you said there’s not really any new airframes to be added especially up at top tier.
Like we just looking at the US there’s the Super Hornet, F-15EX, F-16E/V/70/72 (Pretty much the same thing just ever so slightly different to each other), F-14D just off the top of my head. And that’s not taking into account the twin seater versions of the airframes we have which could be added.
Also possibly an upgraded AV-8B+ that’s in the works with presumably HMD + upgraded IR + Radar missiles.
But honestly still enough that I think 5th gen might not be seen until maybe end of 2026, but who knows?
