Anything for ground (and no, more CAS doesn’t qualify as ground) that isn’t just copy paste and is somewhat interesting is all I hope for in the next major.
My hopes and expectations have massively dropped over the last year and especially with the last update.

I mean, they usually do the April Fools events to test stuff nowadays, so it’s not a complete waste. The modes usually recycle a lot of assets anyways. Stuff like the Atomic Heart, Mobile Infantry and even Mad Thunder were probably rather simple jobs apart from the new mechanics that were tested (recon drones in Mobile Infantry, more advanced tire physics in Mad Thunder).
What I will say though is that I would like to see them re-run these events or do something else with the assets created and/or modified for the events.
I don’t mind more boring update filler like that as long as we finally get aome more actually good ground content at the same time.

Mad Thunder was amazing, though I do agree that the only other decent mode in recent history they did was the Battle for Arachis (Dune) one
I’d like to see CBUs added as a way to add a new interesting weapon system to air that isn’t guided. It would encourage a different playstyle from the current long ranged CAS attacks

Didn’t like mad thunder much, I really enjoyed mobile infantry though. Dune was really fun too
If they were going to add CBUs and those CBUs required people to get closer to the battlefield in higher tiers I can almost guarantee you that next to nobody would use them. CAS players tend to not want to have to engage with AA beyond destroying them from outside the AAs engagement range.
Just having them wouldn’t encourage anything, just like having fire bombs doesn’t encourage people to bring them in lower tiers to throw napalm on open topped vehicles.

I would highly prefer better designed maps over larger maps.

Also, thank you Gaijin for adding my favorite fighter jet of all time, the Su-30SM. As an American tax professional, releasing it during tax season has been great (sarcasm lmao). I couldn’t wait any longer to test-fly it, and fixed up an old work PC to get my fix.
After shaking off the rust of almost two months not playing, I had one of the nastiest and easily most fun games of ARB I’ve ever had last night.

In napalm defence. It can only really be used against a niche set of targets. CBUs would be useful against everything.
Though I’ve never used napalm because Britian basically has nothing with napalm worth using
I have taken the P.51H to 10.0 matches and used the napalm to get bases lol
Image links are broken now? Anyways, the Su-30SM is so gorgeous. I’m hoping we can get some more skins for her. There’s a lot of Blue Number Su-30SM/SM2’s, and I’d love to see Sevastopolskii, Irkutsk, Kaliningrad, and Tchernyakhovsk. Would be nice to at least get one Belarusian sky blue as well.

Has anyone forgotten that cluster munitions are going to brick a lot of people’s low-end PC’s? Or that a lot of even modern day CBU’s have fairly large failure rates (30-40%)?
