Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

Yeah nah, mate.

all I can think of when I hear this is the moderators telling us how it would be unbalanced to have mmv missiles and they are no way comparable to KH38s, I do wonder how many of these tanks even get the chance to fire smoke

I doubt many

On top of that, the Kh-38 is considerably faster and has a much larger warhead, so the Brimstone being able to see through smoke wouldn’t automatically make it better in all aspects.

Doesnt even need mmV though to make Brimstones a decent weapon. Thats what is really annoying.

SAL-only Brimstone 2s would be decently strong and far more usable than the 10km range Brimstone 1s we have now.

But between future additions like Harrier Gr9A and Typhoon and the state of some top tier helis without mmV. they need to come up with a solution ASAP to get them added.

the other arguments is, you can see through foliage better and you can fire the moment you lock a target there isnt that second or 2 delay on IR missiles (I know its stupid but here we are)

The ground vehicle more times than not wouldn’t even know the missile is coming anyway, so it being fired two seconds sooner wouldn’t make any difference.

so from talking to smin, the main issues are LOAL (can be ignored in mode 2) and then these

I find it funny the best range for the brimstones are like 2-4km due to their off the rail agility compared to other AGMs, when irl the brimstone is designed as a stand off mass anti tank weapon and in game its not mass anti tank or stand off lol

Yeah, its why they really need prox fuse. They’d make a really effective anti-heli weapon

we can hope but no doubt gaijin will see one in ever 4 tornados doing alright and say that they are perfectly fine (they will be using E-Paveways and PGMS not brimstones)

I would be surprised if it’s not part of the package as that’s kinda the point of the AAM-5. We know F-2s are equippied with them so only natural HMDs are added with it.

Hard to say, but at the very least the possibility is there.

Same logic they have when it comes to the Abram’s m829a3 and 4 not being in game. It’s funny (as far as I know) every single Russian vehicle gets the most current modern munitions load-out and nato gets crap from the 80s and 90s. There’s no bias. Sureeeeeeeeee

Yeah, I would love to see the stats on it, but Id have to guess that most are using PGMs and EPaveways on it, combined with the Litening III pod, that is quite potent.

Australia and Canada are apart of the commonwealth as “realms” yet their Abrams and leopard were pushed into the US and German TT instead of the British. YES you can say that they are not British vehicles which they are not, but none of the Indian/ African vehicles are, Canada, New Zealand and Australia are “Commonwealth REALMS” which means they are much more closely tied to the British than “Commonwealth Nations” which still are allies but are less close to Britain as a governing body. Australia, Canada, and New Zealand vehicles should only be going to the British tech tree (me coping tbh). best way to say against this other than just saying “oh but it’s not a British vehicle” (which isn’t an argument, look at every other tree with other vehicles that do not belong to that specific country), balance is a better argument but that is slowly disappearing as we are entering a region where every country has the same thing essentially. Also on this same topic of vehicles that shouldn’t be in a tech tree but are. Sweden tested the T-80 and MI28 havoc which allowed them to get that into their TT, does this mean the British TT can get a SU-27 because it was tested by Tornado pilots after the cold war had ended? The British and US also own a two-seater, Su-27UBM1 ’60 Red’ (c/n 96310422054, f/n 13-02) which was designated as “Su-30 Mk 2B” from Belorussia, and were also given an SU-27 From Ukraine back in 01. India also owns a Mig28 and SU30 (Those I imagine will end up in the Russian TT due to relations starting to change somewhat). The British SU-27/30 would be a nice event vehicle to have as it’s something special.

How to fix the weird mixed subs problems in one step.

Romanian and Hungary = WW2 or indigenous only in Italy.
Adds Spain and Portugal as the actual sub.

India = Only WW2, indigenous or Western jet’s which isn’t hard if you add Australia and Canada to the mix.

and boom no need for Russian things to spice up the tree.

I think some fake leak somewhere that impersonated the real leaker. The real leaker commented on it with a blurred image of that leak saying if anyone does it again they won’t leak anymore.

As far as I know, no actual leaks.
