Once again ill direct you to the very topic of where the Osa was requested. People wanted an alternative to the Stormer (as the Osa is the same BR) that uses a different weapons platform. It quite literally provides direct gameplay alternative to Stormer at the same BR. Offering people a choice, whilst taking nothing away from Stormer itself.
I will also circle back to the fact its not just about Britain. People also want to see South African and Indian vehicles too. So they need a home in game, as do the other sub tree nations across the board. So its not also only just about domestic vs sub tree, but representing other nations too in game.

I’m not sure how you can be so sure of that, is it so far fetched to think there’s a conversation going on when commisioning a new model that goes something like “Well we will want this model done by XX.YYY but that other model is the lowest priority as for now we have T-72M1 and BMP-2 lined up for Britain in this patch”. I mean Indian AFVs alone can be almost a dozen vehicles, that is surely going to have an impact, if these were added at the same rate as new relevent vehicles were added Britain would suddenly have a tech tree that seemed to dwarf previously larger nations.

Im fine with SOME Indian additions, like their latest pantsir talks, S2E variant which seems to be better than S1, but havent been delivered yet DDD
Sadly that would just be an assumption. Factually it isnt the case at all. Which is why I wanted to clarify that above.
Thats now how new vehicle / content development works in game.

No. we want more modern stuff if you compare the old stuff with the modern stuff we have a lot more old stuff than the modern stuff, you have a lot of WW2 and cold war compared with the 00s vehicles, soo… evolve grandpa and get used to it.
It is certainly hard to wonder whether things like the Sicmitar could have been added 5 years ago if the SA tree wasnt added

Because its my job to know that and also be in direct contact with the developers over such answers, such as the one posted about Osa and how it does not change or impact any future planned platforms so I can bring such answers back to you and others.

Yeah but what about when sub tree are added to nations when it makes no sense?
British mains coping they are getting Indian stuff etc…
Meanwhile Japan, Sweden, Italy and Israël getting nothing at all.
