Yep, but would people be happy grinding and spading a near identical second version even if it was foldered below the first just to get them at different BRs. F3 Late was a bit of a slog.
Perhaps it would need to come with an RP bonus. If you have the other fully spaded, you get 100% more mod RP or something
I don’t agree with either sides but I’m going to give you a different perspective on this:
The US has the most options of ANY tree, by a large margin. Take rank 7 for example, the US has 18 unique options for gameplay to differ their experience. Japan has 2 phantoms that are the exact same and an F-5, 2 options total plus a reskin of the same thing.
People are frustrated that they can get a new aircraft consistently while a subtree could revive the Japanese high tier diversity and requires minimal effort as most of it is C+P.
Fair point the 1 reason I hate the SEPV2 is cause it should have just been a mod on a SEP. 400k rp for a slightly worse tank? No thank you.

The J-11B will be a good Flanker.
There’s been so many vehicles that would have been perfectly fine to just be a researchable mod on an already existing vehicle.
Looking at the future a lot of the additions for ground, air, (and to an extent) naval they would just be very slight improvements to what is already added so instead of adding a new vehicle to grind out and stock grind they should instead just be an upgrade mod that adds the relevant upgrades to it and increase it’s BR if needed.
In the case for aircraft we won’t be long seeing much more advanced weapons and radar systems than what we already have that can be equipped on already existing aircraft, but there’s a good chance that Gaijin will add the exact same aircraft again but just with said upgrades and a higher BR, all for a 400k+ RP grind instead of adding the weapons/radars to the aircraft and increasing it’s BR and most likely leaving a bug gap in the TT.
As an example currently in-game for the US TT we have the F-16C block 50 which is capable of carrying 9X, 120C, and AESA radar, instead of adding the block 52 as a new aircraft Gaijin could instead condense it to a single modification on the ingame block 50 and have it so if you research and equip that mod the block 50 would get the upgrades of the 52 and would also have it’s BR increased to the appropriate level, this way there is no pointless grind and horrid stock grinding and no big BR gaps are made as the player can simply remove the mod and have access to the block 50 weapons.
Something similar has already been done ingame. The Tornado ASSTA1 has an ASSTA3 modification which adds the ability to use a TGP and LJDAM instead of a new Tornado to grind out just for that weapon. Gaijin could simply expand upon this to include BR changes, this would not only shorten the grind for players but also in the long run help to lower the workload of the devs as they won’t need to add another aircraft.
I honestly think it’ll take something with thrust vectoring to get close and even then…still cooked if the fight in close is prolonged…Eft and Rf are just to good 😬 happy they are added…but good lord are we cooked…I’m black pilled!

i do hope for the tornado to get some wing vapors but it might be due to the inablilty to moddle the hit boxes of the wings moving on aircraft

Since Spain won’t likely ever come to War Thunder, I hope we get a Marketplace camo for the German one at least, or something, hahah. Wouldn’t be the first Spanish camo on a German vehicle.

I wish wing vapours looked that good in WT, since all we have are 2 vapour lines instead of full coverage like that.
