Luv dat gaijin balans

Gaijin decided money has to be made.

It’s one demonstration missile with a mock-up of what an R-77 seeker head would look like on the missile.

If they add it, and magically allow the N001K to shoot it (it never could), then we have at least two immediate problems that Gaijin can resolve with some more b*llshittery magic.

At that point why not:

  1. Allow it to shoot the R-77, as it has the same seeker head and uses the same hardpoints.
  2. Give a few of the top tier Russian jets like MiG-29SMT, Su-27SM, and the potential Su-33 the SAPSAN-E targeting pod.

SAPSAN and SAPSAN-E existed as mockups, and the company that proposed it was ready to start manufacturing them, just as a huge stockpile of R-27’s existed and still exists, and would be ready to accept the modified R-77 seeker.

Unless the Su-33 rolls out with a HUGE overhaul of the Flanker family flight models and instructor settings, the plane is pointless, and I’m going to violate my own thinking on the subject of plane releases, but the damn thing is going to be D. O. FREAKING A.

The canards it has are vestigial, about as useful as my appendix. No one can convince me that those canards are going to be worth a damn when the marinization of the airframe adds a ton of additional weight, additional surface area be damned.

I don’t care if the Su-33 they are proposing is going to have some low-speed and/or first turn “super-ability” and a more energetic ARH. It’s not going to be true to the plane, and papers-over the issues the other flankers still have.

The time to release the Su-33 was alongside the F-14B (or even A imo, fite me). It’s too little too late, and creates more questions than answers.

If they let the N001K shoot R-27EA’s, but not R-77’s, why not allow the Su-27 to do so as well? It’s running the same radar essentially.

Tbh the J-8H is a good candidate for a tier 8 premium. It employs type 1492 radar, should be PL-12 capable, and has a bit of precision a2g weapons.

Can we add airspawns back to strike aircraft (with the exception of rank 8) again now that we have big maps I was playing out the A-6E and… yeah youre entire team getting killed before you do anything is really bad

We’ve seen them show off the earlier model of a Kongo, though I don’t think we positively ID’d which one.
Either way neither Kirishima nor Hiei should be pre-1936.

Are you talking about Kfir C.10 going to be a prem? If so, well, I hope not, especially if its a Block 60.

It seems like Gaijin is deciding to add JH-7 though as a premium.

its 24 years newer than the F-14, completely unfair

And it’s not even going to be worth the squeeze. They still haven’t juiced the Myech radars up, so we’re still going to be sitting there refining target dope, and then the whole purpose of launching the missiles will be pointless as nothing Russia has in the game can sustain itself the way they’ve modelled the early AIM-120’s (which seem to be over-performing compared to the data people posted on them last year).

What the hell happened to the R-77 being “roughly on par” with the AIM-120C?

All the source documentation they’ll quote is the same scuttlebutt that Western sources HYPOTHESIZED the new Su-33 “super fighter” they all claimed would be the next evolution of the Flanker would be. AESA radar, R-74’s, R-77’s, potential rear-facing warning radar, all the BS that was way totally and completely wrong.

There’s like 30-50 Su-33’s rotting away somewhere, probably in the North or in the Far East, and they aren’t doing anything useful. When the Russian navy is conducting missions they’re using Su-30SM/SM2’s. The Su-30 program was so efficient and sufficient to the Russian navy’s needs, that they suspended development and then pivoted to Mikoyan for the true winner of the original USSR carrier sweepstakes (yes, my beloved Sukhoi OKB rigged the contest).

I love all the Flankers, and I want to see an Su-33 in game, but it is arguably the most pointless Flanker of all time, and I’m tired of pretending that it’s going to be some prestigious release.

Its a 1980s Su-27 but heavier and with canards. The F-14B is from the 1980s as well. Seems fair to me.

introduced 1998, F-14B introduced 1987

Okay… and? They designed the plane and then a little incident happened in Moscow preventing them from putting the plane in service when they wanted to. Its literally a 1980s Su-27 but heavier and with canards. They didn’t upgrade it until after the turn of the millennium and even then the F-14B is still better lmao.

According to Mike , maybe there could still be a tt variant to come

its literally an early 1970s F-14 but heavier and with new engines

Hopefully mavs get the speed buff that was passed they are currently way to slow.

WAIT! NO!
He’s right. There’s no way the 1987 F-14B could ever hope to compete with a 1998 Su-33, or 2003 Eurofighter or 2001 Rafale
The US NEEDS the F-22 and YF-23 and it needs them right now.

Personally, gajin reduced battle rating because lazy considered PL-8 instead PL-2 lol
