Honestly with the past leaks of F/A-18’s and SEAD this update is looking pretty good
Plenty of vehicles in game have the wrong name, so it wouldn’t be anything new.
F-5T will be nice but its not nearly enough…

The edge of AESA can always be, ahem, multipathed. The Mi-8-AMTSH-VN being the first AESA mounted helicopter barely got any attention.

The only major problem with the Japanese trees that can’t be fixed with indigenous vehicles is high tier CAS, which can be fixed with a handful, maybe two or three, Thai aircraft and nothing else.
This issue is one of the two Thai F-5s that showed up was F-5T SCU.
so it would be “o-oo ooo [ooo]”.
I can belive one of them to be but not both.
The answer would be the F-2A
On top of the fact that the AAM-4 still only has a PD radar, so it wouldn’t make a massive difference.

For top tier, yes, however there’s still the gap from 8.0 with the R2Y2s and 12.something where the F-16AJ is. Some Japanese aircraft exist for this, like the T-4, but they’re not enough on their own.

I think what they should be replacing is the R2Y2s which the F-5s do nothing for. We already have the FCU and the AJ for high tier CAS.
Now Japan is lacking in top tier CAS. Granted I think AJ was an okay addition for CAS since that same update added the Pantsir, invalidating the usual 5km+ climb and dive with maverick tactic that other nations using the F-16A were abusing.

How about we don’t replace anything and keep vehicles like the R2Y2 and F-16AJ available to everyone instead of hiding them
It would be a good combo. Still has the problem with a low ammo count, but its basically on par with gripen or f16d.
