What evidence puts it at 3 or 4? Late would be a terrible nameing convention with all the different subtypes so plz god no.
The last three updates of the year all come within a four month window, yeah.
It doesnt really matters which exact block is, what is clear is that it is an early block, and the thing they can easily add a a new one with a better irccm and then name it what ever they like.
How can you prove it isn’t a better block? What cause it doesn’t have the IRCCM performance you think it should have?
Can you prove that it is not an early block?, again the irccm capabilities can be coded by gaijing nearly at will, what we do know it that the aim 9m had upgrades over the irccm which it wouldnt be crazy to say that would perform better that what we actually have in game.
first of all the aim 9m is arguably underperforming to begin with as it lacks the flare rate bias, i am not saying that it doesnt have the performance that i think it should have, im saying that they can add a new one with a better seeker… which would be on par with the other 90s missiles like the r73m, phyton 4 or pl8b gameplaywise
From the navy the only upgrade from the early AIM-9M to the later one is Guidance Control System. Whether it is underperforming in-game is only speculative on our parts.

So if I am understanding this report correctly. The 9M has an Flare Bias and push ahead feature that helps the seeker avoid preflaring.
I still don’t see anything that makes what we have ingame an early 9M.
Hell all it really shows is they didn’t implement the 9M correctly and it will be buffed at some time.
I had to look it up right after I made the comment and found the same picture.
Sea Blue really CAN de-uglify any plane. Good to know.

Never said that this was feature of the late, just that the are currently underperforming
