Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

The Finnish Hornets were delivered without air to ground capabilities, but later got those back. I am not sure what they did to limit them though.
The Swiss ones were delivered as F-18s instead of F/A-18s initially, but apart from a mention that some hardware was retrofitted I can’t really tell when and to which extent that happened. What we do know for certain is that at no point were their F/A-18s meant to be used for air to ground operations.

Ive been lucky enough to see some pics of early Finnish F18’s and the avionics were just gutted lol. They just had empty compartments

So more things to stomp the Royal navy in top tier? The mightiest interwar flotilla until mid-WW2?

I mean F/A-18C for swiss unlike domestic USN/USMC, RCAF & RAAF Legacy Hornet because without Air-to-Ground capabilities like Finnish F/A-18C basic (before upgraded MLU 2 standard)

F/A-18C Upgraded 25 (SAF) equipped ASQ-228 ATFLIR pod from Super Hornet

Dude like,

Hungry even though is a sub and got a line, it was a poor attempt I mean France got way more than Italy has right now.

Hungary was,

  1. Unplanned
  2. Hardly got any effort any effort into it.

It was literally a C&P job and forget as we still need it’s low tier before the Yaks but nope the Benelux for some reason is getting more love.

Not like America is much better at the moment…

At least you got HMS Hood, with a 30 second reload and non-gameplay-detrimental ammorack placements.

All America has is 43 second expert reload ships that blow up the very second you hit their barbettes…

I think the only model found in the files for Britain was Vanguard for WT mobile (you can tell because she has the wrong turrets, they’re reused from the Glorious model).

I’m sure that with time, it’ll get to shine ( gotta be a joke in there somewhere)
For air the easiest fix would be a higher BR and am airspawn a little closer to the middle of the map ( some other planes would benefit from that as well)

The A-10C(and JF-17 in the same update) should also bring LGR discussions onto the table. Currently, they have almost zero uses except for simulator battles, where CAS is still much limited due to the amount of aerial engagements. Their uses in low-alt rocket runs were also somewhat limiting in terms of ground RB.
Their SP should be significantly lowered, at a number that is probably between unguided weaponries and paveway/laser guided AGMs.

Hungary poor sub tree ?

But gajin already decided hungary sub tree for italy december 2023 & march 2024

Currently italy no aircraft rank I ~ III in researchable tree from hungry and romania

Italy already have 2 sub tree max but now lack romanian vehicles to researchable tree. Might can’t add third sub tree (Portuguese & Spanish) for italy

I do not want to talk about whataboutism now. Britain is the worst portrayed naval power here.
The US can at least offer four 7.0 ships with three being in the TT, while Britain only has one and two more as events. You also did not put into the account of 15-in spread, which you did mention a few weeks ago, surprisingly. Japan has six and one event, the latest addition never entering service in that form.

War thunder top tier naval is still much interwar, for the majority of the battleships. Again, this is the era where the royal navy is the best flotilla in the world. The US would only take over that in 1943 with the war machine fully pumping.

And then at the lower tiers, the US has some pretty impressive designs. Namely the roanoke, brooklyn and the floating 2S38 aka atlanta. All of these provides a pretty impressive mid-tier gameplay, while Britain got stuck with treaty cruisers. Some are good - Southampton, London and Kent, rest of them are not. British cruisers has very poor compartment placements, losing crew rapidly to quick-firing cannons, even US 5-in. And that is the reason that an atlanta can somehow destroy almost all British cruisers.

Going lower into the destroyers, I would say with a very heavy personal bias that the British destroyers are the best, but I only played British naval so.

Even skipping to the vanguard would still make top tier struggle quite a bit. If they cannot fix the 15-in dispersion and APCBC damage, every ship would struggle to find their shots. Even with an impressive SAP.

As I said there are no rules for how many a nation can get subs I mean france got 3 remember

I feel italy could receive spain and brazil as their additional subs

I would argue it got 1 sub-tree consisting of 3 nations, not 3 sub-trees.

If Italy were to receive another sub-tree in the form of Spain/Portugal it wouldn’t make much sense to add those vehicles in the same line as Hungary.

So if those nations vehicles are added I would expect them to be event/premiums.

Kind of like how Indian vehicles aren’t added to the South Africa line in UK TT

Mid ww2 is a real stretch. The kido butai would like to have a word with you.

Yea true and also they don’t need a new line to add a sub too. They can just place them anywhere

Last time I asked about the possibility of Spain coming to Italy to reinforce Top Tier, gromvony told me it was “nonsensical”, so… I think that discards the possibility, hahah.

If they are just “placing them anywhere” I would also say that doesn’t really consist of a “sub tree”

If Gaijin said they were adding a subtree to Israel and then just filled a few gaps with vehicles from a nation I think it’s a lot different than adding an entire line that progresses in technology.

I think the distinction is somewhat important because it sets expectations for the quantity of vehicles

I don’t see UK getting all that many Indian vehicles for example

Its more likely gaijin will eventually add sub nations vehicles individually where they fit the best rather than having an entire line dedicated to it. The CV9030 isnt in the finnish line, its in the LT line. The A28 and j34 are both swedish and are in the finnish line. Again gaijin can fully decide to expand a line that has holes with another sub nation which is what the Benelux tree is. Additionally both nations use a lot of the same vehicles which is why they have shared camos. This also applies to the T 2 on sweden which features both Finnish and swedish camos, and is missing the Norwegian camo as norway and denmark are not sub trees of sweden.
